Nice to see a thread on this, not going to make any predictions till the day itself (Sat 11th April for those not in the know)
Mind I'll share my history with the race:
Dad chucked me the paper in 1998 & asked me to pick a horse. I picked out that year's winner Earth Summit, 1st of 8 winners I've picked since alongside 23 placed e/w runners 👊😊
Mind did change a few things during that time starting to spread bet in 2004 on more than 1 runner but the gut instinct got out of control in Mon Mome's 2009 win that I backed ¼ of the field & made a heavy loss much to my dad's frustration 😬
Months later while shopping in Chester, came across a book called Punters Guide To The Grand National in the local WHSmiths & thanks to a elimination trends system in the book (which does require homework) changed my approach to the race for the better in terms of luck & sensibility ☺️ |
