This whole situation sucks, I use X for all porn I consume and I have spent years building up a catalogue of bookmarked vids and follow accounts and now the only way to view this stuff is to buy X premium - what a joke this country has become. |

"Yes, it's a terrible thing to try and prevent children from accessing adult content "
All for it if it achieves that
Just fear they are savy enough to find a way round it if they really want to
Hope it works |

"Yes, it's a terrible thing to try and prevent children from accessing adult content " kids are way more tech savvy than the Governement. They will just use VPNs to get round it. It won’t stop them accessing what they want. |

There seem to be a lot of people saying that because *some* kids can get round this that it's not going to work.
If something is partially effective surely it's better than nothing at all. Unless people are so concerned at not being able to view porn that they don't care if kids are exposed to it as long as they get their kicks. |

It's not about kids viewing porn, it's about state control and them being able to get away with thing without people being able to dissent and shutdown debate.
If you want to stop kids viewing porn, then parents shouldn't give them phones and other devices, and if they do then they should monitor any internet activity that takes place. It's called responsible parenting.
There was never any phones or internet when I was a kids, but I still got exposed to porn via page 3, magazines and videos that you'd find on roads and in hedges, I even found a load of polaroids in some bushes whilst fetching a football at the park. You are never gonna stop the exposure. |

Which comes right back to the point made... because it might not be 100% effective, nothing should be done at all? |

We have been age verified on here because we access the site using a phone that has the adult content block removed. If I can be controlled that way it's been happening long before this bill was introduced.
The content kids are routinely exposed to now is way over the page 3 stuff. |
