What breaks the ice for us is mutual interests and good old fashioned mutual respect.

The kind of 'banter' we have experienced from single guys on here (who by the way we say we don't want contact from) is not friendly banter, it is downright rude behaviour.

Hence we like to leave banter to the younger generation, and much rather have mutually enjoyable conversations.

Yes we all do differ in opinions, but the experiences we have had of 'banter' from single guys have been well, certainly sometihng.

There are so many guys on this site who pretend to be decent on the profiles, yet are quite rude and arrogant in private.

Hence now we don't 'banter' with single guys at all now.

It's a shame for the few decent ones to be tarred with the same brush.

Some banter can be good.

Sometimes, the little green arrow tells you otherwise.

Banter is difficult to convey in the written word with people who don't know you. Like some people have commented it can just sound rude.
