Big Difference being that more men contact women and couples first than the other way round.
Men without face pics are unlikely to be contacted without them.

When I get a message, I go through the following checklist.
1) Is it a bad cock avatar? Yes = delete unread. No = move to 2.
2) Is the first line I can see txtspk/a handful of words/boring/smarmy? Yes = delete unread. No = move to 3.
3) Check out the profile on stealth ninja mode - is it short, uninspiring, bad photos, lacking in personality or interests not suited to me? Yes = delete unread. No = move to 4.
4) Actually open the message - does it grab me, make me laugh or otherwise engage me amd come with a face pic? Yes = consider replying. No = delete read.
