Hi guys, I'm enjoying my time on Fab so far but would like to get a bit more involved, any advice on what to send in the first message to someone as getting a reply is quite rare?

Sorry dude this is totally the wrong site to be expecting a reply if your a male. Most are only on here for women or have stupidly high expectations like they are expecting to meet a celebrity. I personally would say any reply’s treat them as if you got a golden ticket.

I have no intention of staying on this site and will be leaving as soon as my subscription runs out.

You will get a reply if your what the persons looking for !
So be sure to read their profiles before sending a message !!
No point if your totally not what they want

Seriously though, try going to a club. I could count the number of people that I have met on fabs on one hand that haven’t been through the club scene
I have met and played with loads more through club scene, and kept in contact with them through fabs |

Personally, I'm not bothered about meets so much I'm just a bit disappointed that it seems I can't even strike a conversation with someone, I always pay attention to profile details and always pop a question/remark or 2 in directly related to those details and the message nine times of of ten doesn't even get opened before deleted (it's not just this site either), I get the whole 'men are the majority of this sites members' thing and don't blame anyone for not meeting with someone who undersells themself as much as myself but what ever happened to good ol' fashioned talking to people with common interests? Even my forum contributions generally get ignored  |

This is only my opinion and I know many people use this site in many ways but I'm always put off from replying if a profile or message states that they are horny or looking for meets at short notice. It may as well read "any hole is a goal and you are online so you'll do".
Try only messaging if there is something in their profile that can spark a conversation, if you have a mutual interest etc. You will send out less emails but have a greater chance of getting a reply.

We've all been ignored at times on forums. It's nothing personal. Just keep getting involved if you like joining in on the forums. |

I would definitely say that getting involved on the forums is something that probably helps as a single male on here, I often find I get a couple people check my profile out after interacting a little. |

Best thing to do is take the plunge and go for it.
Yes it is nice to find someone to go with but there are plenty of single guys that go without a chaperone and don't need someone to hold their hand.
It surprises me the amount of guys that lament their lack of success but then find reasons to not go to a club or social.
Believe us when we say doing that will do much more than any revised message or profile... as long as you're not weird or creepy when you get there of course lol |

I went to a club for the first time as a single guy having always been with a girl. It takes a bit of guts and I don't give a shit attitude. But do it, you never know what will happen. At least you can say you've done it.

Clubs is the way to go, I'd agree. There 2.6 million guys on fab, and it's like finding a needle in a giant pile of needles. In a club you can be seen for who you are. They are like a bar, for the most part, with other fun bits too... no need for nerves at all. |

Don't make it all about yourself either! Lot of first messages read like CVs, which is not good. Make it personal and make sure it shows you've read the profile. Originality works miracles x |
