Hi everyone I’ve just made some changes to my profile and wondered if you lovely people would give a it a quick review. Suggestions welcome so long as they’re constructive! Im asking generally for the wisdom of more experienced people on the site. Thanks in advance |

Anyway I think your write up is good, you could do with some more pics and your headline, something to do with owning your own arms, legs and teeth? Well I should think so at 34!!!! |

It reads fine, and just fine, until the fifth and sixth paragraphs. They are superfluous if not a little strange in the context of anyone's profile.
Not a profile that is going to attract what you are seeking imao. |

Fewer exclamation marks, ditch the word "fella" and the bit about not having face pics on display because of your work. If people request face pics you can send them. |

There are genuine people on here lacking a limb for whatever reason, I'd imagine they'd feel wonderful to read someone adding the fact they do on a profile?  |

I explained earlier that I was trying to be a bit of a smart ass! And I’ve since changed it. I never intended to hurt anyone’s feelings or make light of disability. |

What does it mean when people say very feminine tgirl? I keep seeing this in profiles, but I'm new enough to fab to not know if it has some special coded meaning. I reckon that i look pretty good when dressed, but from responses I've had, obvs don't meet this criteria. So is it "got to be miss world material"? "Must have boob implants but still a big cock"? "Want her to have had everything done so no one could tell she is trans"?
Guess i just don't like that phrase. But maybe I'm not typical representative of tgirls on fab... |

Terminology is a minefield in transgender circles, we don't even agree among ourselves what many words mean, still less with when cis people use them. Even the terms cd, tv, ts, tg can cause heated arguments and sworn emnity (unfortunately, not joking here). It can be difficult to pick suitable wording so that the people you are hoping to attract will both understand what you mean and not take any offense.
Lol I could write an essay on the subject, maybe sometime I'll start a transgender 101 thread. |

No offence to me, just pointing out that some of the girls can be quite volatile. I mainly ignore anything that is clearly unintentional, occasionally point out errors if it seems worth it. Though I have been known to go ballistic if I see something that is a clearly deliberate insult against transgender people generally.
My original query way back was purely to see if there was an accepted fab code to some of the terms being used. But looks like you're just as much in the dark as me |
