Evening all fabbers  I'm relatively new to the site and was wandering what makes for a successful profile? Also what would people say is the best way to start opening conversation with people on the site? Any feedback or critical points is welcome

Be nice and social in the forums/chatrooms etc
Don't cut nd paste(says the Man who did 2 yrs ago)
Comment on there photos and ideas/suggestions
Compose a nice thoughtful well written message giving details of yourself and what your looking for

You've been here 2 weeks.
What were your expectations of the site?
Did you think you were going to be fighting women off with a stick within five minutes of joining?
Most single men don't get their first meet until they've been here for six months or more, so the most important thing I can tell you is that you must have patience.
I've been here for 5 years (left briefly and then came back again) and even then you can go for long periods without any joy.

Wow thanks for the useful tips and no wasn't expecting to be batting women off I was just clarifying I wasn't doing something glaringly obviously wrong to the eyes ofnthe veteran fabbers |

Profile is good, very good actually for a short profile blurb.
Pics are also good.
I feel it won't be long til you have a meet if you're attitude is as good as it seems.
Stick at it and try for a social event nearby to get your first verification. |

Appreciate the advice and yes I'm thinking of attending a local club not quite sure the etiquette for a single male going but should be fun learning along the way |
