Standing on top of a mountain, 10,000 ft above sea level and realising I'd spent the first 50 years of my life living for others.

Lots of them in my life. The best moment in my entire life was expecting my children to see, kiss and hug them.

Another one just a few months ago when the person who supported me all these years said 'I do'

Middle Earth

Having just got into to bed at 3am having finished a busy nite work.... Phone rings it was Mr, he was out in a different town, got my number of a friend, date arranged. 20 odd years later still together a few kids and more in love than ever. There have been ups and downs but the ups keep us going.

Recently turning 40 and losing two friends has made realise we have only life make it count, don't waste your time on people who are not worth it, do what makes you happy.

Magic Mushrooms 21 years ago. (Disclaimer: they were legal in Ireland at the time so no law was broken)

I was never the same after it. For years I thought it was the worst thing I've ever done but in the last 2 or 3 years I see it as the most significant experience of my life and I'm so grateful to have had it.

For the record I have no need or desire to eat them again.

About 10 years ago while getting counselling for anxiety and social anxiety I was invited to a house warming party. I was after maybe 2 or 3 sessions and waiting for her quick fix lol. Anyway at the party I basically shut down, could barely talk to anybody even the people I knew. Needless to say I took the counselling more serious after that.

Getting my Dad home after spending 2 months in hospital an one week in an induced coma due too the Coronavirus. We taught he wasn't going to make it and now he's home even the doctors said he wasn't going to make it. And the fact during all of this we couldn't be there we couldn't see him it was so hard on us. But how he turned was just amazing and only for the nurses and doctor's in beaumont hospital absolutely amazing people they to us. So that's my 2 cents in

Must have been very hard on you

You were in an army in a war and trained to do what you did

I'd imagine no amount of training could prepare you for that thought

I hope you sleep easier after all this time

Christ, some tough times there.

Mine was 20 years ago. A couple, friends of partner, I couldn’t stand him as he knew it all. One moment I realised that it was actually me that was the asshole. Since that moment I learnt from him instead of being bitter about his knowledge. It was a big moment for me.

Life changing moments, 1 would be having my children, don't even remember life before them, eldest is an absolute miracle child.

2 finally having the balls to leave the mentally abusive cheating asshole. Complete life changing and all for the better.

3 loosing a very close friend to cancer, that moment was when I realised how short life is and we shouldn't take it for granted.

23yrs ago this week was returning home and as I was passing a petrol station I was going to stop and get a soft drink but decided to keep driving home. 5 mins later was involved in a serious traffic accident where the other driver was killed. As a person I changed as a result of that accident. Wish I stopped.

"Telling the kids this morning that it’s time for the family dog to be put to sleep was quite tough. Growing up with a dog for 14 years then losing him is tough. My daughter is devastated "

Had to do that last year and we all held him as the vet did the injection

Hard life lesson for us all...

Westmeath

I have had a few life changing moments in my life.

But the one that stands out to me is when I finally separated from my husband. Three months into the separation he took it upon himself to beat me up badly in front of my two kids (12 & 6). I feared for our lives for weeks after this and vividly remember standing in front of the mirror naked, looking at all the bruises and thinking to myself ... they will heal but my mind will never recover from this.

That was 10yrs ago and to this day I still have not been able to form a relationship with a man, tbh I'm too scared to. Hence I'm on Fab.

What an awful ordeal for you and your kids to have to go through.
