So st Patrick's day is nearly here again...

A day everyone and their mother claim irishness,

shamrock, parades, pints, landmarks around the world being lit green, green icecream,

What way will folks be spending the day this year, anyone doing parades like last year,

Belfast

More or less like every other year and hopefully working.

Never been to a St Patrick's Day parade so won't miss them and don't drink so not missing out there either.

Haven't worn shamrock since I was 10 years old.

Doesn't make me any less Irish though

Working on my self-build house I think. It's halfway there but it's been a long slow process.

I'm utterly indifferent to it, last time I set foot in a pub on the day was I reckon 1995 when I was living in England. I have every Wednesday off anyway do I'll be doing what I usually do, walking the dog, catching up with housework, and chilling.

I remember trying to be my kids to the parade in town

Pain in the arse to be honest and they hated it

So after 2 yrs ...that stopped

Probably nothing. The kids are having a dress up day on tuesday in lieu of st patricks day. They always looked forward to walking in the parade for their club so another year they wont get to do that. It will probably be like last years and well do SFA

Wont be doing anything this year but I love paddys day. Love the parades and the international band parades we have in limerick. I marched in our parade a few times and loved it. My first real night out drinking was a paddys day and I went out for a few more paddys days after that. Absolutely packed pubs, loads of women and jolly people ,it was great for a young guy. Now I don't really drink and cant stand packed pubs but still love paddys day.

on the hill NordWest of

I'm going to paint the chimney wall green in my living room wearing my Irish cowboy hat from the pound shop, drink a Harp or two, some Bailey and listen to Irish music. I've not the slightest drop of Irish blood but life is bland enough at the mo so why not go bit mad. Oh yeah and I'm going to break the 5km rule, every day from then on.

It is for some, not all companies take it, I’ll be off work and enjoying a relaxing day at home. I miss super 6 nations Saturday around paddy’s day more than missing paddy’s day itself
