Happy? No
Resigned, yes. Widespread vaccination is the way out of this. Countries which eased up too soon are seeing more surges and new more virulent strains |

"are you happy with whats coming down the line? "
Yes. The Govt are aware that this is the last lockdown and are being understandably cautious, especially with the slow vaccine rollout. They had hoped for more to be vaccinated by now so I support how they feel they need to do it. |

Let's suck it up for a bit longer, better than going into another one later on |

"No. As usual half of it makes no sense whatsoever. " not allowing kids back training and golf/tennis for another month is comical but it clearly shows the aim is to get schools finished without a glitch but naturally with a bit more open cases will rise and watch the panic set in then. Big thing is vaccinations though. they have to ramp up significantly and sooner rather than later

I’d honestly prefer them not easing up at all for a few more weeks.
The virus spreads quicker than the vaccines can be administered.
If this is to be the last time I’d have held off increasing travel limits and allowing different households to meet before the impact of all kids being back in school was taken into account.

Same. I'm delighted at the prospect of being able to see friends again (none live inside my 5k) but I think it's due to public pressure and not the actual data. |

I don’t really buy into this “people won’t put up with this narrative”
I’m tired and pissed off with lockdowns but I accept that it has to happen to keep others safe.
I really don’t think there’s going to be a massive Capitol Hill style coup if lockdown is extended.
I think it’s social media echo chambers that are giving off this impression |

People want to see a finish line, a roadmap out of this. there should be no issue with outdoor activities resuming in low risk settings. you cant just hold off on vaccinations as has been proven so far, you don't know what's going on with them. |

I really don’t want to get into this as I’ve seen these things grows legs and go on forever.
I respectfully disagree with your point that the country is teetering in some kind of large scale uprising and I’ll leave it there |

Do you ever read into why things like continuing to restrict some outdoor activities is a still required or the thought process that leads to those decisions? |

" there is 2 reasons. the variant that the government allowed into the country and the putrid vaccine rollout. they're even petrified to put a release on low risk settings but I don't believe everything I read either. |

Ill share some advice my uncle gave me when I moaned about having 3 more months left of studing before the Leaving Cert.
If said if he was to give me a full force kick in the balls with his steel toe boots every day for 3 months, towards the end I would start to welcome them, knowing each swift kick to the balls was 1 day closer to the end.
The end is nigh.

Happy ? No but I am pleased that we now finally have some light at the end of a very long tunnel. Most ppl have managed to get through it but there's lots of ppl who didn't and there is a lot of grief around and more to come no doubt. I'm happy that there is what seems like a final road map out of this horrid tunnel where hopefully life can resume as it should. I'm happy that there's a vaccine and hopefully greater progress will be made in ramping up the vaccine numbers keeping more ppl safe and I'm happy that all of you are safe too but most of all I'm happy for beer as Homer Simpson once said .."ahhhhh beer... the cause of and solution to all of life problems. Happy Wednesday folks |
