What Does Your Profile Say About You?…..

How much does your profile status say about you in general as a person?…..
Whilst browsing through the online list it has become very noticeable that there are certain people on FAB who’s status messages never change from the same old moaning and yapping , even naming other members who have apparently done something on them while other statuses give us a laugh and are jovial and light hearted but, how big of a reflection are these status messages of the person overall? ….  |

I often update a status before or after a party , or even during it if it’s a rest period ! The aim is to raise sufficient intrigue to enable invites to the next one . There is a general interest from regular attendees to meet new people |

My status updates vary & all are quite different & topical...Mainly light hearted material though & some are cryptic.
On the odd occasion they can be serious too though...Re- Some peeps on occasion do need to be called out...I think I've just done that twice though...But it was serious s*it & had to be done for others safety etc ...
My statuses are mainly influenced by funny incidents that happen here or in real life. But sometimes I may update a couple of times a day & some sour pusses don't like it giving me grief etc...But as I always say...My status My business...ye know where the block button is... Don't Ye if my harmless updates bother some that much...    |

I always read the profile before I even look at the pretty pictures. If it's a "fill in later" and the person is on a year it gives off a can't be arsed vibe. I love to see all the status of fab friends especially if it's a wee in joke |

Status's are my current #1 reason for blocking.
It's not that I find 99% of them hugely offensive or anything but the same 3 or 4 people popping up on my updates every few hours just becomes tedious and the tool is there to make the site easier so I use it |

In terms if the profile itself , it’s much better than I actually am to meet . And despite much advice to remove it I actually really like the word professional so I am keeping it |

My profile is just a bit about what I'm looking for.
My updates I use sometimes just random stuff that I may have seen and liked normally or something that just popped into my head and I decide to post. |

id like it to let people know im sane and sound but I think I made a error somewhere as I don't get all the sane and sounds ones in my inbox( I have gotten some great ones)
I also think maybe the profile is a little better than my real life self |

I prefer longer profiles at least the people have made an effort in them and you get a feel for them.I can't say I ever thought of them as self indulgence. Mind you maybe mine is a bit long ah well I'm not changing it anyhow people can take 2 mins to read it or not as the case be if they want. |

Its all relative. Say what you want to say, and people will try to connect with you.
Some people are more wordy maybe and that will likely attract similar types, thats been my experience.

Like I said I'm not changing the length of mine people can read it or not.I keep tight filters anyhow so I don't get inundated with mail and I find people who do message the majority have read mine anyhow so horses for courses I suppose |

I think there is some confusion between profiles or bio’s, and updates….
But I’ve just realised, I rarely see GSOH written on profiles here, or anywhere else much these days, has it died out? |

The profile that I have had for a while has only been slightly amended since Covid began, but when public confidence returns in earnest, I intend to modify it significantly, with pics, in order to generate interest and facilitate contact with members who require pics, at the outset. |

Do people read the bbios...some wouldn't look out of place on LinkedIn ...then there is the long list or restrictions & the meaningless message to a university in Sydney...a few bullet points , a catch headline & a nice photo may achieve more....Time to re write my profile |
