For a coffee meet no more than an hour.

For anything more about the same and I would expect anyone I'm meeting to make a similar effort.

An hour max, although we generally arrange meets for weekends away, killing two birds with one stone

Had a man fly from London to meet me pre-fab

I wouldnt rule out any distance for the right person. If you click with someone it would be worth the journey!

Albeit a first social id line it up with something else like work or similar

There is a direct correlation between distance travelled and expectation.

I would not mind to travel even 3hrs

I did travel before 2hrs one way and it was worth it.

Not too sure why it is such a big deal for people...

We do not live in Texas but little island of Ireland. Everywhere is close enough.

For a coffee an hour give or take.

I don't mind driving between Fri and Sat this week another 700km clocked up and that's on top of the 200km mon-fri

This.

And expectation means feeling pressure and other unpleasantness

Sure, you'd walk 500 miles. But would you walk 500 more?

I wouldn't mind travelling a long distance for even a coffee meet if there was a mental connection established in chatting beforehand, the way l look at it is if a lady is kind enough to give me the opportunity to meet and there's a connection there well then why not ..it's a road trip .. something to look forward to in the meet ..and a return road trip... everything thing about it is wayyyy better than the alternative...no road trip... nothing to look forward to...like on that given night what else might you be doing ?... watching the TV... doing nothing much ? ...so like l said if a lady is kind enough to give a guy an opportunity to meet and give you her time isn't it well worth the effort to go meet her .. wherever she is ..it's definitely something to look forward to , even if it only means or ends up happening the one time.

I agree, sometimes you just click so well with someone, if I found someone like that I wouldn't mind travelling an hour or 2 to see them regularly

Amen to that...

On the other hand I would not expect to get fun just because I have travelled a bit.

I would not take it for granted.

If chemistry would be there...well you know the drill.

I might consider travelling if there was a connection and we had been chatting for a while. For someone who was kind enough to give me an opportunity? Not so much. I prefer to meet people as equals rather than out of gratitude.

If there's a connection there it's as equals, you might be mad about someone but you're not her type so it's not gonna happen , you might be mad about someone and she feels the same so it will happen but only because she also wants to ,she's meeting you cause she wants to ,not out of anything else.

Somewhere in Co. Down

Like a lot of people I don't have a lot of spare time so I'd travel an hour at most and I wouldn't want anyone to travel farther either to meet me.

The only exception is if I was going somewhere anyhow.

"There is a direct correlation between distance travelled and expectation. "

I drove from Donegal to Limerick to get my Fab cherry popped. It was worth it at the time. But, this is a good point, time and distance can create too much nervous build-up.

This, I have travelled two hours for a meet and it was worth it, but there was a connection built up beforehand!

Living in rural north Mayo means that I have to travel an hour at least anyway!

Distance doesn't bother me I like to go for drives and take different roads of the country.

I've had people say that I'm too far and I get it, some people just aren't bothered to make the effort and other silly reasons it's a tiny country and I'm not saying I'm the best thing since sliced bread but whoever iy is that's not willing to go the extra leg...ya could miss out on something that ends up being great!?

I've even said I'll go to where as far as they'd travel but still a no......maybe it's not about the distance..... Hahaha

When I’m meeting someone it’s because there’s chemistry there and would have been chatting back and forth building it and a social would be a natural extension of that and if we wanted to meet distance wouldn’t put me off
