Well well, the time is almost upon us.
For those of you that would be interested in gathering for some socials in Cork for the new year, we are looking to see what interest there would be for weekends while the 6 nations is on?
Good excuse to get out and meet(socially) and meet old and new friends.
So from the 4th of February for 6 weekends it's an opportunity for all to have a bit of banter and craic?
We'd love to hear your thoughts and welcome any feedback you wish.

Our idea would be to change the bar on a weekly basis to keep the enjoyment going and maybe even organise a buster but that wouldn't be our department so any ideas would be appreciated. |

So just to add what we have put up so far, we are thinking about games and maybe spot prizes for guessing the correct scores and/or first try scorers, and to be a little more naughty spin the bottle  . There will be a different venue each week so this could be everyones Cup of Tea and here's hoping we'll all be celebrating 5 out of 5 come paddy's weekend  |

Good idea... the tricky bit will be getting the right venue. Obviously needs to be somewhere with the rugby on, but also needs to be quiet enough that we can have a chat and not so busy that we can't have a privateish area to ourselves.

It would be a tough ask to find somewhere quiet with a 6 Nations opener and a make or break opener for Ireland.
Its also scheduled for kick off at 2.15pm on the 4th of February so we are not looking for maybes as there is interest already by couples, so it will be the majority rules on this.
So, with that in mind we are open to a count on a specific spot on the day. If anyone is available and interested in going then Pm us with your preferred spot and we will tally up the scores |

So everyone, these are the dates for the fixtures of the 6 Nations this year which gives everyone plenty of time to plan if interested.
Game 1
Ireland v Wales Feb 4th at 14.15 at Bar location 1
Game 2
Ireland v France Feb 11th at 14.15 at Bar location 2
Game 3
Ireland v Italy Feb 25th at 14.15 at Bar location 3
Game 4
Ireland v Scotland Mar 12th at 15.00 at Bar location 4
Game 5
Ireland v England Mar 18th at 17.00 at Best voted Bar location 1-4 and possibly spot prizes.
As Cheltenham will be on Paddy's week we are also thinking of a buster to run in conjunction with these socials.

On week 5, there will be 100 euros of prizes up for grabs. This is primarily aimed at couples only social.
The jury is still out on a Cheltenham buster but we will update soon. |

We now have 4 particular locations picked out now and will notify on a week by week basis,on the Friday of the weekend of the game with the first location made known only those that will be confirming their arrival. The 4 locations will be in the City Centre.

Just to update everyone, the first venue will be sent out to those that are firm on attending and keep in mind that kick off is at 2.15pm on the 4th.
The first 4 couples through the door get a free round of drinks
Our plans are should everyone that attends on any given week, will be at the front of the queue for a bigger social festival we will organise for the World Cup in September and October.
It will be a travelling social with overnight stays in different counties with votes given to those that have the best to show of their locations, best bars, hotel rates and of course playmates.
So if interested drop us a DM or just post here and we'll send the details of the first venue 1 week before.
This is meant for couples only.

If this turns out to be a success then the idea is that for the world cup is to open it up to everyone.
Different locations around the country for each of Ireland's pool games with preference of locations going to area's where there is private clubs so it would be a social and play event.
Please do not post here if interested in that proposal, we will set up a separate thread on that closer to the World Cup.
To the couples that are interested in this event as previously mentioned the first 4 couples through the doors at each game receive a complimentary round of drinks.
As we will only be able to reserve a small area in each bar, please DM us only if you can make it.
Other than that, let the fun and games begin.

T-16 days and counting
Final details being made now for the first of 5 socials to be held accross 4 different venues in Cork city.
As the areas in each venue has limited areas reserved, those that are confirming will be messaged with the location of the first venue 7 days prior to kick off and kik group set up 4 days prior to the first day.
The first 4 couples through the door each week receive complimentary round of drinks.
These socials are intended for couples only and come the Rugby World Cup we endeavour to arrange another similar festival of socials with the mind of opening up to all.
Till then, get those Ireland jerseys out and freshened and hopefully on week 5 at the final venue we'll be going for that GRAND Slam! |

Kik groups will be desolved each week replaced with group for the given dates.
