Is it usual to comment to a friend about a new verification they have received. Not to disclose any details about the other person. But just to acknowledge it as a friend.

Personally I'd like to be asked first before being talked about but in saying that I'd have no issues if it's a generalized conversation. I've had a situation where someone made false accusations about me to one of my verifications recently.

I'd definitely mind my own business but depends on your relationship with said friend

here and there

I've gotten questions from random lads about women or couples I've met based on the verifications on my profile. That's a flat out 'no info except what's already displayed' response. I think anyone who's a genuine fab friend would know better than to ask for details.

I've also had some messages from fellas (before I had them all blocked) regarding people in my verifications, but unfortunately it was to bad-mouth them...

I've never asked anyone about a verification or been asked about any of mine but I've had a few productive forumites ask people I've verified about me.

Ive had to hide mine for privacy reasons, people contacting about how they met me looking for hints and tips(extremely creepy) but yet you'd still get the nosey one's straight onto my profile the minute i might show a new one then claim they have no interest

It wouldn't be usual, but I wouldn't say it's unusual

Portstewart

For us if a verification goes into too much detail we will keep it hidden as for ones that are less specific some we show or hide it all depends on if our real names are mentioned. We don't give detailed ones for the same reasons we're here for fun not for our business to be known by anyone but said persons involved lol
