I'm not a fan of only fans. At least it isn't the platform for me. I did sign up to a few back in the day and found that behind the paywall was another paywall to watch full videos or content was drip fed to keep subscribers as long as possible. I'm sure they are not all like that and have no doubt that plenty of hard working people earn every penny they make but it's just not for me. |

I do it myself. It's a full time job almost between editing, promoting, filming etc. Fully tax compliant and God knows the tax man is happy with his cut 😂 personally I couldn't give a fuck about people's opinions on people doing it cause it's no one's business bar the person doing it. I also don't judge those who sub because everyone who does and doesn't has reasons. So basically each to their own |

I’ve not really looked into it too much really. If it wasn’t worthwhile, there wouldn’t be the amount of content on it. People seem to do very well out of the content side and fair play to them. |

Another way of objectifying woman, even if it is the woman herself that is doing it for financial gain.

I don't think the men who pay think that a girl is genuinely interested in more than she is offering everyone, it's more that they want something in particular and are willing to pay for it. These men don't believe there is a relationship or something on offer. |

That’s me in a nutshell. I’ve used the site on and off for about a year. I have a number of sexual interests which my relationship doesn’t satisfy.
I’m not interested in personalised content though, it’s more that I have some niche interests that are better catered for on there than on other mainstream/free porn sites.
Another aspect I prefer is that even though money is obviously the main incentive for becoming a creator, personal enjoyment and freedom on their part also seems to come into play.
Amateur porn has been around since forever and this platform is not the first to enable people to monetize it for their own gain. What I think it has done differently is make self production more appealing to “ordinary people” i.e. those who would never have had the need or inclination to get into conventional porn/sex work. By making it both palatable and inherently financially rewarding, they happened to tap into a rich vein of people who were sexually liberal enough to become content creators. The platform became as big as it has because there’s a whole pile of people out there who found themselves thinking along the following lines to some degree: “hey I like sex, I’m not shy about it, and if I film it I can get nicely paid - sign me up!”
There’s also an ethical case to be made for it. A lot of exploitation that happens in mainstream porn production and the performers get a fraction of the earnings. While I don’t doubt that some people end up on the platform through exploitation too, those that are there of their own accord earn a much bigger slice of the pie. |

It's rare for straight men to make money decent doing straight porn movies. Most work for very little, even in the big foreign productions the female talent might be getting $1-3k a day, while the male performer might only get $500 for the day. |

I do pretty well on it but ive started to move over to another site instead as its way more safe and less restrictive
From a creator point its alot of work but you do get to have fun doing shoots and its more connected with those who subsribe!
I also sub to people and ive seen some of the bigger names shall we say just repeat the same shit over an over, they also hire companies to reply to messages etc and try sell more content that way
I do know guys who charge a higher fee but give everything for free after that theres no extra!

As someone that has an account on there and posts content quite regularly it’s a good earner. I don’t post any face content or anything but after promoting it earns me a nice wee bit  I keep fab and OF completely separate and dam it can be hard some times keeping up with messages, requests and the likes lol. |

You have to pay tax on income, and money you make on OF is income and so you need to pay tax on it. After a certain point you have to give OF your PPS so they can report your earnings to revenue so they can tax you properly. |

I spent a lot of money on video chat websites way way back…. We’re talking 25 years ago and on dial up….. it’s been around since enough darts could get through to form a grainy picture….
OF is just the latest thing and has gone more mainstream for one reason or another. I’ve no issue with it but Jesus you can waste a whole lot of money which could be spent on the real thing

When Laura used to do this she had a handful of regulars who used to spend money all the time, but one time a guy stopped and said he didn't have any money left and had to wait till payday for more. She struggled a bit with this as she imagined that these man just had a high disposable income (and most did) but some guys are maybe spending more than they should and this is kinda the sad part of it all as noone wants someone to do without in order to buy this stuff . |

I’m on only fans as a side hustle (thanks to a massive unexpected vet bill that insurance wouldn’t cover).
It’s strictly content creation, building a fan base and developing personal connections with your fans. I suppose that’s the difference between porn and OF.
It’s still early days but thankfully my fans are super sweet and really nice. I think there are some unscrupulous creators out there that probably hard sell everything. I’d hate to think of any of my fans getting into debt.

If someone is going to pay you directly to create content for them I'd guess 99% of them would want to see your face, otherwise it's just another anonymous wank bank |

The way Laura used to run it she didn't show her face in her main page, but would allow a peek on private 1 on 1 stuff. That way you're limiting your exposure to a much smaller number of people, and those are the ones who are paying. There were no shortage of takers. |
