Hi ,

Is anyone taking PREp ?

I believe it’s given out free by the HSE ?

If you are taking it can you please contact me directly as I have some questions ?

Contact your local STI clinic and say you are looking at going on PREP and can you have an appointment to see them that way they can answer any questions you have. Hope that helps you 😊

You should also bare in mind that different parts of the UK have different rules. So in Scotland the Sexual Health Clinic is the Sandyford Unit. Where your initial appointment assesses your need for different drugs etc, also Sandyford will carry out STI checks bloods etc. In Scotland also prescriptions are free, although most Sandyford Units will dispense directly from within the department itself. The Sandyford Sexual Health Clinic are superb and as others have pointed out will keep you right on every detail.

They will test your kidney function.

Anything below 60 egfr and you won't get it.

Mine is way below that and I took one of the pills. Threw up for 2 days straight.
