What's the story with people with all their verifications hidden? When asked why they say the other person requested it for discretion purposes.
Really? Everyone one of them?
Given that almost no profiles on fab are identifiable I find this very odd. Anyone got a better explanation? |

I have been verified 30 times and 12 of those have left the site. A couple of others I keep hidden because they were written by fantasists and weren't true and one is hidden at the request of the woman who wrote it because she didn't want to advertise who she was meeting at the time.
On previous profiles I have received nasty messages from complete strangers about people I have been verified by so there are many reasons why verifications are hidden. |

One possible explanation (for women and couples profiles) is that it's a fake profile and the one veri is from the male who created the profile. |

It wouldn't bother me if one was hidden but others on show or you got to view them.
I take veris with a pinch of salt. Meet the person for my own opinion. I've met people who had amazing veris and walked away thinking must be something wrong with me because I had a totally different experience with them.

Lots of reasons:
The whole world doesn't need to know, everyone you ve met.
Too many connections in a small community, too many overlaps, better to stay discreet. |

I've mine hidden because guys have messaged me about the people that have given me verifications.
Most of them want to know where they are from, any face pictures of them, what they were like in bed and even one guy wanted contact details of one lady in particular.
Hence the reason the fuck off/block button was duly applied.
Some dangerously mad fuckers out there!!! |

This week I had a message from a guy. He was asking about a woman using her first name who verified me at least a year ago and had deleted her account.
I only keep my veris visible because they're pretty honest. None are super sexual that I can remember. |

...as been said before:
- my verification left the site, then rejoined, then left again and I, personally, can't see any point asking again and again
- mind you, not everyone is playing that 'verification' game, but that's got nothing to do with hidden verifications |

This is exactly why I keep verifications hidden. Men asking other men about me, or even making comments to me directly about why I'd meet so and so but won't meet them  |

It’s probably a flaw that Mr and Mrs Fab need to look at to be fair. You can verify anyone and anyone can verify you, provided you are a paid member/or have been verified but any verifications you have you cannot delete them, you can just hide them….. I have a hidden verification and sadly the lovely lady who left it has since passed away so people have many many reasons why they choose to hide certain things.
I think it is important to remember that it is entirely the choice of the account holder to display what they want, when they want to, and not be judged or cross examined 🙏 Amen

I like looking at veris to know if I'm somebodies type or what matters most to them. This place can be so unhealthy though, and it's a rare occasion where I can say it's not just a single male issue. |

I've two of his exes I'd like to avoid so I like veris being shown and I'll ask for them to be temporarily shown so I can rule them out or at least try (I know one of their usernames and the other one I dont because their old couple account is inactive but I'm sure she's rejoined). Northern Ireland is too small sometimes. |

I have some veris on show and some are hidden, I have some that I cannot show as the person has left the site and while their numbers are counted in my summary but their veri is gone.
I hide some of mine for several reasons sometimes it's because the person who left it was not the person I thought they were at time. Sometimes it's because they are older veris, sometimes it's because they may contain details that I prefer to keep private. Or we have not being in contact for a long time so I don't see the point of showing them.
I don't get the whole attitude that people need to see others veris. It's actually no one else's business and I find it rude and arrogant when people expect me to put all mine on display for them. They either would want to meet me or not if I have to jump through hoops they can jog on.
Plus others veris mean very little they are usually glowing veris which don't even mean anything. I make up my own mind about people and I laugh when I get messages saying you need to look at my veris and see how amazing I am and the well known fabbers I have met 
And then you get the people who trawl through veris and try to meet those others have met in order to prove they are better. 
So ye to me anyhow veris mean very little and should be taken with a pinch of salt and people have a right to display or not display whatever ones they want without having to explain why. |

I've had 2 other previous profiles over many years on and off here and have always kept my verifications private, because they are no one elses business apart from myself and the person who wrote it. I have also not left verifications for others for similar reasons.
I understand that verifications are used as a reference for a lot of people before they choose to meet some and no visible verifications can be a no go for many, but I will continue to do my own thing and if it reduces my probability then so be it....
So to answer your question, I don't find it odd at all tbh OP.. |

I've had to hide mine because I've just found out that a fake account only opened in the last few days an then disappeared as quick was messaging my verifications and asking questions about me and my meetings. I've also heard an seen a woman also meeting men from my verifications and asking odd stuff relating to me. I don't know if they are connected or what but it's turning me into a paranoid mess!!!The world is full of strange people and nothing surprises or shocks me anymore! |

I think there is likely a higher ratio of nutters on here than whats representative of the wider society in general, so don't be too harsh on yourself 🤔

Not necessarily. You can hide them all and not show a summary. The profile just has a verification tick. I think I'm right on that. |

I'm personally not into reviewing people like they are an amazon product or vice versa. I would solely base my opinion on my interaction with them on here or during a social meet to decide if I was comfortable around them (and them around me).
I trust my own judgement of character and gut feeling over other people's reviews tbh..

Eh, veris are pretty much pointless in our view, we trust our own judgement, not that of random strangers given to hyperbole.
We don't display our own because it's nobody's business who we meet. |

Some people have displayed bad veries as a joke in the past that were deliberately written that way. I don't have any play veries and wouldn't display them if I did.
My verifications are there to show that I'm real and fairly social. It's nobody's business what happens after that. |

While they tend to be on the overly flattering side, we like verifications as a little insight on what impressions/vibes the person(s) gives to others. Profile text is how people perceive themselves, verifications are a small window into how others perceive them. It's not perfect, but it can give a slightly better picture.
Abd if nothing else, it certainly gives a lot more confidence that the people behind the profiles exist and do show up. |

I guess we are referring to Male profiles in particular, guys messaging and telling us how experienced they are yet having no visible verifications. Then it's I've yet to see anyone with a profile that made them identifiable in real life so I'm not really buying into the privacy aspect either. |

I had verifications until the profiles were deleted, I've also never seen a bad verification on anyone's profile so I think they're a bit pointless but can see from a safety perspective how they can be useful. |

Yeah, as some people already mentioned, verifications given by deleted or paused accounts are not shown, people not having any visible verifications, can be many things, personally I wouldn't mind because I prefer meet socially anyways, but I understand where you're coming from, especially from single self proclaimed experienced.
The best is going on social gatherings, parties and clubs in general, make a few good friends and from there you'll get a good network of great people.

After 100+ verifications we decided it wasn't worth displaying them anymore.
Some people go into too much detail about what we did and where we did it.
We do verifications but try to do genuine honest ones.
Some People get pissed because you met this one and that one so it's just easier not to display them. Shity but unfortunately true. |

Also had the same issue off people who verified me been messaged by others asking seriously mad and private questions about me. Beyond weird. Also if you attend alot of socials not gonna display each and every person. Tbh if it was tripadvisor i'd display but no bad veris get left lol. |

I keep mine hidden and if meeting someone I can show them , one person I met asked not to have it showen and l respect their confidentiality more then the person asking to see it on my profile !! |
