Na like really benign things to get wine and a few bits here and there, I was way too busy so I just went and sent money to the woman and just a no show then hotel paid for as well just really odd behaviour |

Yeah that and all the rest?? just a proper strange situation left work early as requested as we had a window of a few hours is all. Had to drive 2 half hours down the country and being consistently asked how long I’ll be just to go completely off the map. Opportunistic maybe

Just report to admin hopefully they get banned too many toe rags on the site only here for money and aren't real swingers |

Yeah was blocked shortly after we started talking and then moved over to telegram chatting. but it wasn’t even worth her while what she went on with in the end but it was definitely done by design the more I think about it but it was for pennies |

Yes a young couple tried to do it, but they found I was a lot a lot more knowledgeable than they thought and had to return the money very quickly. She pleaded poverty and asked me to help out with funds until payday but then failed to return the money. I’m not normally that generous or trusting with anyone but I knew her late mother and so I felt sorry for her and initially trusted her.

I've been asked for money by a few young female accounts but since I've no interest in young females I tend to block them
There was a guy 4 or 5 years ago who told us all on the forums about how much money he was making share dealing and tried to get people to give him money to start an investment club
He didn't last long
I thing someone gave him the nickname The Stockbroker |

I can see people getting catfished as there are alot of fake profiles on here. Obviously that could cost you in terms of outlay for hotels. Scammed to me would be different as it would require someone asking for money for something or to invest in something and you would hope that people are learning to be more aware of this. There are so many warnings in the media now. It's definitely not nice when it happens to someone |

Agreed.
Along with sending money to a stranger prior to a meet for them to buy stuff…nah I’m sorry but self respect has to come into play. |

We had video called and chatted pretty consistently over the phone before any in person meeting was brought to the table and established. Empathy and pity isn’t what I’m seeking just interested in finding out if anyone had a similar experience as to what happened with me |

I offered to foot the cost of the goods she had originally wanted me to pick up myself before hand so I thought that I could save time by getting her to grab the bits and pieces while I was on the way so I had offered to send the money it wasn’t even asked off me so the idea of self respect wasn’t necessarily a factor it was a matter of convenience |

I would have thought being asked for money by a stranger would sound alarm there are people i know well and would not lend them a euro as they have a reputation for not paying back. Common sence guys |

Was he gullible? Sure but it sounds like he was preyed on for his loneliness. I've not went that far but I've been in the same spot before. A woman wanted me to pay for her nails and hair for a first date. Sure it sounds ridiculous out loud but if you've been alone -not just single but alone, you'd sympathize a bit. |
