* Pub food is generally terrible. There are exceptions, but not worth the risk on a visit.
* Temple Bar is a rip off. Walk through it if you like. Have a pint if you must.
* South William Street, Camden Street, Baggot Street - these are all better than Temple Bar.
* Have a cheese & onion toastie with a pint at Grogan's.
* Public transport is shite.
* All cabs must accept card, by law.
* Keep an eye out for small things - little plaques, statues, etc. These are often more interesting than the buildings.
* Christchurch & St. Patrick's Cathedral are more beautiful at night.
* As an immigrant to these shores, I've found that Irish people love to talk and love wordplay. If you're anything of a wordsmith, you'll find plenty of folks to talk with. Be open to a chat about literally anything. You're as good as guaranteed a laugh.
* It's a small one, but it's still a city. Be careful of pickpockets/petty crime.
* Have fun!

Yes this. Pay bar bill in cash if you can, was a bit the worse for wear one night went to pay by card €15, hazey brain checked amount as contactless failed only to see €150 on screen !!! An old trick anywhere and anymore d*unk I would have prob not noticed  |

Been in Dublin all weekend
Had excellent food in the porterhouse and the Bailey. Has toasties in grogans excellent. Used public transport excellent service Over all a great weekend and will be back |

Yumbo centre is brilliant loads of crappy shops and had some great food in it.Bars are great fun and drag show is on here. I loved this area.
