Most of the name brand hotels are pretty decent (Radisson, Hilton, Maldron, etc.) & reliable.
Other choices I've enjoyed:
* Arthaus Hotel
* Herbert Park Hotel
* Intercontinental Ballsbridge
* The Dean Hotel
Your mileage may vary:
* Clayton (on the quays).
* Camden Court Hotel
* Harcourt Hotel
* Trinity City Hotel.

"And how do you do booking, book for two people only and hotels are ok for additional visitors to your room?"
Depends on how many you're expecting, really. If you book for 2 but are expecting 10+ you're really only hurting yourself as there won't be enough room for everyone. At that point you might be better off with an Airbnb or StayCity apartment. |

"No snarky pants, the issue is ease of access for Guests.
Many Hotels have Keyfob secure Lifts, and or corridor doors.
"
To be honest I also think people overthink getting people into rooms
Book a hotel room and get two key cards as normal
Check into room and then go downstairs to meet a couple in the bar
Give them one key card and tell them the room number
It's really that straight forward unless you're planning on entertaining a football team |

Thank you Bog finally someone with a bit of gumption. I don't see how it's so difficult to use a bit of common sense. It's a hotel not Alcatraz get the cards, socialise, go to room. Unless you do plan on taking a full team and the bench |

Why didn't you mention that in your first message on the post? This info would have been helpful.
As others, I fail to understand what the mission is or what's so complicated about booking a hotel, giving your guests the room number (or meeting them downstairs) and then getting on with it. There's nothing complicated about that.
Genuine question - what am I missing? |

"You just book a hotel and show up! Like how many people are you expecting to frequent the room?
Why do people find it complicated to book a room? "
Twice I've been refused entry with a 3rd person in a hotel. |
