New ick unlocked…AI written profiles.

Anyone else hate seeing them or have you used AI to write yours?

Ooooh interesting conversation. I wouldn't be surprised if some men use it, unlikely otherwise. I've seen "fill in later" and "I know what I want", I doubt they require AI to make that 😅

It wouldn't give me the ick automatically.

I know some people struggle to format and frame their thoughts into coherent writing.

AI aid can be helpful for them

AI, ugh. Anyway...

Hey there! I'm _iscuits8, a laid-back, open-minded individual who loves exploring new experiences and connecting with adventurous people. Life’s too short to not embrace excitement, so here I am—looking for fun, flirtation, and perhaps a deeper connection with like-minded people who know how to enjoy life.

I’m a fan of good conversation, laughter, and spontaneity. I enjoy being social, but also appreciate moments of connection that feel genuine and comfortable. Whether it's meeting for a drink, a casual encounter, or diving into something a bit more exciting, I’m open to it all—as long as the vibe is respectful and we’re both on the same page.

What I’m looking for: I enjoy meeting couples and singles who are confident, adventurous, and easygoing. Respect, good energy, and mutual curiosity are key. If you're looking to share some fun experiences, send me a message—I’d love to chat and see where things go!

Really?? AI profiles? Well that has pissed me right off. From the beginning of the whole AI conversation, I have hated it. Initially, from the prospective of a creative writer. It literally kills creative thinking and critical thought. Years ago you could admire someone for their use of written word, now you don't know if they got a fkn app to write it for them.

Also why the absolute fcuk would someone need to use a computer to compose a couple of sentences to "sell" themselves on an online profile??

What does an AI profile look like. What sets it apart from a genuine one???

Wow, I got a little annoyed there. Sorry OP. It wasn't you, just a topic I have strong opinions on. I'll be OK in the morning 😁

Never noticed, and we're the type of people who get more turned on by reading profiles than looking at pics

Artificial intelligence has existed on the fan forums since I first joined.

I used to call it AY.

My bio is just a rip-off of a song, is that any different from getting AI to write it.

You’ll have people that will get AI to write up a generic bio and post it to their profiles after barely reading and then you’ll get people who might go through multiple drafts before they get a bio they’re happy with.

We often see suggestions here for newer members to check out the profiles of other users as inspiration.

I see it as another tool to help used.

Can generally pick an AI generated one. They are a little less personal I think. Totally get how people would like to use it and have no issue with that. We use it a lot for work and it’s super. For us though since you haven’t met the person and generally can’t see the face, we use the profiles a lot to try see what people are like. Personally written profiles generally show more of the persons personality, banter, sense of humour etc that AI can’t quite manage fully yet I think. Would always prefer the personal ones

This is it exactly. AI generated profiles are all the same and they’re so easy to pick out. There’s no originality, no humour, no hint of personality.

It’s one thing if people use them as a starting point and then edit them to suit.

It’s another thing entirely when it says the same thing as 50 other profiles.

Personally I wouldn't have a problem with it, the picture filters that some people use are far more "misleading", in my humble opinion than an Ai, generated bio. It shows a progressive open mind, with a willingness to adapt to current and future technologies, and if they had problems with grammer, vocabulary etc, then fire away, it's a great tool.

The filters though, why ???? You go to meet someone and they are there, but it's not the person you were talking to 😅🥲

"New ick unlocked…AI written profiles.

Haha, “new ick unlocked” is such a vibe—and yeah, you’re not alone. A lot of people are getting that ick from AI-written profiles, especially when they all start to sound the same: overly polished, weirdly generic, and packed with clichés like “lover of laughter, sunsets, and good vibes.”

That said, some folks use AI just to help them get started or word things better, especially if writing isn’t their strong suit. It’s kind of like asking a friend to help you sound cooler—but if it’s too polished or doesn’t sound like a real person, it’s an instant red flag.

Have you spotted any cringe ones lately? Or are you lowkey tempted to let AI take a crack at yours, just to see what it says?

That’s what it said Jaffa when I put your text into it

I’ve just written my bio and added and subtracted to it over time. Some ladies say it’s like reading a novel but fuck it, I’ve just written about what I’m like and what I want, take it or leave it and if someone wants to contact me, they will.

I didn't realise so many couples read profiles. Might sound silly but I didn't think they'd have the time to read through that many paragraphs.

Agree

I think it’s a useful tool, can help people to give them a starting point, I use it in work sometimes to get an alternative perspective.

But in terms of your profile hopefully you can derive this from your own mind with the help of AI

We tried it just out of interest, and the text it churned out was very bland and generic. It gave us the tagine 'explore and connect' which I liked. So we kept that but not the rest.

I don't know how you'd 'detect' an AI written bio? I've deffo read a lot of them that could do with an infusion of AI like everything else it's a useful tool in certain situations, but I wouldn't rely on it totally to give an indication to personality or similar. From what I can see most don't even read them anyway going by some of the messages we have received
