Sorry, but for clarity is it the same guy each time?
There is nothing identifiable in your public pics- would you have friended him or given him face pics?
People use Tineye to find people on social media |

Did he message her social
Media or her account here on Fab? Have you asked him how he made the link, and explain that it’s too much. Some people don’t even realise that they over stop and go “in real life”. |

For clarity it's not the dame guy , we don't add guys unless we've met face to face , he messaged her on social media account FBK , without mentioning the name of the site ,we don't have faces on show here etc |

"There’s no direct link from fab so it’s not a site issue.
It could be that you have mutual friends and the profile came up as suggested and he recognised her 🤷🏻♀️"
I'd say this is the most likely reason |

We have seen social media accounts ts of people we have met at parties or events ans we pass them by and ignore for want of a better word
Because we believe fab should be left to fab only unless invited by said people to join their social media ( which we have done with ppl we became close with over the years) |

"I've seen a few people I've met or communicated with through fab come up on Facebook. So there has to be some sort of data exchange going on between messaging services and social media services." exactly this ,

I've had a couple of FB friends suggestions for people I met through fab a long time ago. I don't have a phone number or my contacts linked to FB.
I've also had friend suggestions for fabbers I've never even spoken to and haven't exchanged any details with at all.
I recognised them from sitting at the next table at a social a few years back but we didn't speak.
I've also seen people on social media who use exactly the same profile pic they use on fab. |

Well there obviously is between WhatsApp and FB.
It only takes one link and, hey presto, the "people you may know" suggestions start rolling in. |

"As others said, Meta shares info between it's apps. So he must have at least had your number. Even if just through telegram."
You don't even need that. It could be two mutual acquaintances. Or mutual acquaintances of mutual acquaintances. It really doesn't take much. |

If you don't use the privacy settings for all the apps that you use
Not giving them consent for example phone and other things then each app isn't allowed to give you suggestions
But if you have then it has a way by the information that it's collected and shared with other third parties bringing up suggestions for either |

Are these men local to your area?
Hubby has distinctive tats, if he was in my area, I'd probably pick him out, to be honest!
There are lots of small things in people's photos that are a giveaway, and they might not realise it. |

You might never know how someone found you so it's not as if you can do something about it
Some people are just fuckwits who think contacting you off fab is acceptable
As others have said I've also had FB pick out people on fab as friends
Some I've seen their faces at socials but some have the same picture on their FB profile and I happen to be in the same private FB group as them
Why would you say something |

We've often had friend suggestions from people we've met through fab but the growen up thing to do is scroll by and we've been lucky that any one who got us as a suggestion did the same...only a dick head (male or female) would make contact |

Far far away |
Your login details could be used as a link if you have alerts sent to you.even geo location on your phone and who is near.
It's very creepy tbh so try and keep anything like emails etc separate. As for numbers, I have a dual sim.

I’ve I think 3 females from fab as Facebook friends. Fair few follow me on TikTok. A fair few have my phone number and I’ve never once had anyone cross that boundary of tagging me or whatever on any platform. Fab related stuff is normally done on telegram. |

It's probably the algorithm linking your online activity, Facebook especially are insidious for this. So far we have only had Fab friends showing up but the more you use online the more links are being made in the background. |

I’ve had friend suggestions on FB but it’s been for people who I have their number on WhatsApp chats. It doesn’t have to be linked through your phone number it could be that they have their number linked to their FB account and anyone that has been in chats that their phone number is linked to will produce friend suggestions.
I’m away to check all my friend suggestions without mutual friends now |

Would there be some kind of link people you may know on f**eb**k if you use the same email address on this site as you uses for your social media accounts.maybe I'm wrong in sayen that but I think it works like that with some of my social media accounts like snapchat |

I use an old phone and a separate sim for Fab etc. There are unreal ways that companies use your phone and digital footprint to identify you. When they can guarantee that an ad will reach a real person, they can charge more for it.
Separate phone is the only way to maintain hygiene between your fab and ‘normal’ life. I’ve never logged into my gmail or anything on this phone. Leave no trace!
Very unnerving OP. I know you can just block people so much easier these days but it doesn’t make getting the invite or message any less invasive.

Yes and no. Snap can use your contacts to find people on snap, it's not under the meta umbrella (I think) but essentially if you use your internet and location on your phone, plenty of companies will store and use that data. For Meta, I think the linking is through your phone number. Google use anything. |

It's all from collected data.
Even if you're not on FB they have an account number for you. This is created when your phone number is collected from someone's else's phone that has FB.
This is used to link people for advertising, political targetting etc.
META, Google and Apple know literally everything that we do. |

Don't forget the NSA and other foreign equivalents |
