Admins will block you from each other if one of you reports the other for something.
It's ironic when you see a profile behaving badly, posting fake pics etc but you can't report them AND keep an eye on them. Pointless strategy by the Admins  |

We are two good friends and neither of us reported each other but I agree I’ve seen before where innocent partys get suspended and blocked for trying to save the site from dodgy ppl it’s all wrong |

There is no easy answer. If people were allowed to badmouth here (even those who have behaved badly) then anyone with a grudge could just make up all kinds of claims about other innocent people. |

The problem isn't on the forums which are fairly well moderated. Badmouthing and falsehoods being spread about people is done on dm's and even more so on group chats on other platforms off fab.

Depends on the chat group really.
If its a random chat group put together its usually monitored and controlled.
Chat groups between people already friendly and familiar its far more common.
And tbh don't all groups of friends discuss other people in some way or another |

Last time I was in a chat group was during covid lockdown but in any that I've run I've removed people who only wanted to talk about others and in other groups I've seen similar action taken by the admin.
A couple though didn't seem to have any restrictions on discussing other fabbers so I removed myself from those.
I've commented in threads over the years and got private messages from people who seem to know everyone's business telling me I shouldn't respond to certain individuals because they have been physically abusive to another fabber.
Then I've had messages telling me that the "victim" was deluded and I should avoid all her threads unless I wanted to get dragged in.
Strangely enough I've then had messages from the same people telling me that a particular thread was just trolling because the man and woman mentioned in all the previous messages were actually the same person??
So thanks to those who were saving me from all the drama and scandal that I wasn't even aware of before their messages. Maybe a few more dragons next time and I might be interested. |
