When you wake up singing that song again!
So I have an ear worm so how do I get rid of it?
My usual method is listen to the song over and over until I'm sick of it, or
Do I not listen to it until I forget!
Do I try to replace it with another one?
Do I just go with it...and let it run its natural course. After all the brain wants what the brain wants!

I (M) know the problem very well. I am easily triggered to get an ear worm and unfortunately for everyone around me it's usually one of the dumbest songs ever. A single word might trigger it and it's just stuck in my head.
Listening to them only temporarily helps. Usually A needs to get through a day or two of me singing the song every 2 minutes until it has run its course  |

There's a certain Mika song that there was a trend a while ago where you sing it and overlay the harmonies onto it. That stuck in my head for weeks.
Therapy got rid of it in the end 😁🤣 its gone now though. And I can't even remember the song. |
