Tips needed for avoiding timewasters and fantasists. 3 last minute cancellations in less than 5 days. These were well-verified accounts. A pity Fab doesn't have a thumbs up or thumbs down counter to go along with the verification summary |

3 arranged meets within 5 days of each other would indicate to me a lack of due diligence and arranging to meet on the chance there is a good match rather than a feeling that there already was.
Either that or just an anomaly of extreme bad luck that you should just brush off.
Is it a trend that's happened before |

I always give people the benefit of the doubt but sometimes there just ripping the piss, unfortunately no matter what ye do or try implement it's going to happen regardless if they have zero verfies or 50..... |

If the same thing keeps happening, you need to look at what you’re doing.
Are you having a good, preferably not constantly sexual, chat with them in advance or are you jumping in to planning a meet?
They may be well verified but what kind of veris are they?
Are you checking in with them the day before and the day of the planned meet to see are they still up for it? |

I would say that's a real green flag and a good filter. Sometimes guys have to cancel, sometimes they are timewasters, ultimately it's their loss. Also better no meet than a very shite meet. |

That's possible but I've never spoken to a fake account here so I can't say one way or the other.
I've never had a no show or had my time wasted either and that's not down to luck.
I just spend a lot of time getting to know people before a social is even discussed. If it doesn't get to that stage no harm done and I've enjoyed the conversation. |

Nah, it's not even required. If you spend any time on here, you will know whether a verification is worth it's weight. Some are given for favours, some are given in return (whether or not they actually think the other person is decent or not), some are just bollox. Getting verified is only a challenge if you outright refuse to meet people. |

There are plenty of profiles being verified by the same few single guys, who then vanish and get a new account verified by the same person.
It is a crying shame but there are always people out there who get a kick out of it. |

Sorry you were let down. Sometimes things happen and people have to cancel. It doesn't necessarily mean that person is a timewaster. |

Possibly "single" guys who are married and full of gusto until time comes to find an excuse to get away for a few hours and a suspicious other throws a spanner in the works? Otherwise the lure of Brittas in this weather might have been too much  |

I agree life does happen. It's hard to believe genuine people would be actively on Fab while [insert random or general excuse here]. For example: helping their sick relative in hospital. When a person's reason/excuse makes little sense, that's hard to take at face value. I prefer an honest last minute cancellation rather than spoofing.

I always thought about this! (thumbs down) if you have a honest bad verification sure the person would obviously not display it
I know an absolute monster on here and he’s still sleeping with women it just baffles me .
Plus the fake profiles have gone through the roof ;( |
