"Work it or ignore it? Thoughts?"
I usually won't go working wood till the evening. I find over night it soaks up too much moisture particularly if there is a strong dew.
Best to leave it out in a place with direct lunch light and ventilation and then start chopping it come the late afternoon or evening.
Although that's only if you are using a hand axe, if you have an actual chopping press, the moisture is of little consequence. Just remember to oil down the press after or the moisture could make it rust. |
