So I finish work at 9pm Friday and I have an unexpected weekend to float around and hopefully enjoy the great outdoors hiking or cycling. The weather be it good or bad doesn't bother me but I just hate sitting indoors.
I always gravitate towards Waterford/wexford but where would the wonderful people of fab recommend for a day or two of exploring and a potter about Saturday evening for a bite to eat or social drink. Anywhere within two hours of Dublin would be fab . |

"The Grand Canal Greenway looks lovely. I've not cycled it but it's gone on my to-do list"
I did it about two years ago from lucan into town and back out again, not a very long spin, I must try it someday heading back towards kildare |

The Boyne valley to Lakeland’s greenway is fairly new, starting in Navan and finishing in Kingscourt, there’s the usual coffee cabins along the way, but Park Beo has a hub with a cycle shop, seating, food, toilets etc. nice cycle if the weather is good. |

Excellent, I hadn't looked at that and it's not too far. Thanks |
