Has anyone bought new high end phones in any of these shops if so any trouble or issues? How can they sell phones €500 cheaper than did or currys or any of the big name shops

I'm assuming they're pre-owned.

A second hand car dealer can't sell a car at new prices.

With regards to the function of the phones, the shop wouldn't be open for too long if they sold phones that didn't work.

It's not like you're buying them off some random person online.

Just get a guarantee and a receipt.

"The phones I priced are brand new"

Oh right. Well, you know the old saying. If something is too good to be true....

It depends on the shop. Some are legit. Others tend to be chancers where it is hard to have comeback.

I got burned recently and got some of the price back.

New Ross

Might be some way to check if it’s genuine by searching the serial number etc. online. If they don’t let you do that, you’ve got your answer.

Counterfeit goods have been around since the year dot. Phones are no different.

Caveat emptor. Not saying they’re dodgy, just do your due diligence.

This is correct, most phones, particularly Samsungs are originally destined for the Asian market but get rerouted to Ireland. No different to buying a yellow reg car and getting it swapped. They are just as good as buying from Irish retailer.
