YouTube is great for this kind of thing, all the ships will have people who did vlogs of their experiences. Search by ship name

Ive no tips really, just make sure you attend the safety event when it's scheduled when you get on board. Enjoy it, explore the ship, get off and explore.

First piece of advice is your way too late if it’s last Aug boats already sailed you should have turned on the who’s nearby feature get yourself a pineapple pin to wear a sticker for your door even have one on your table at night put the dates in your bio what ship dates of travel etc but read the post before posting it’s always a good idea. Enjoy

Sligo/Galway depends on the day

What company are you sailing with?? Every cruise line has a different set up.

Some times the safety event is now on the tv in your cabin

Sailing with MSC.

Things Im sure about is what to wear evening time on the ship? Is it dress up or totally casual.

Land side will be okay.

My parents did a couple of MSC cruises. They arent really party ships and will mostly be 40+ couples plus some kids/grandkids. Casual dress for dining is fine

Every evening has a different dress code you usually get a flyer under your door along with a program on your TV giving you the heads up what's going on each day

I am a seasoned cruiser, first, what cruise line are you on, this is very important to know as dress codes do differ.

Royal Caribbean very casual while Cunard are tuxedo for the men and cocktail dress for the ladies on formal nights, other nights smart casual.

As for swingers, never had any meets on board or noticed any pineapples, posted on here in the forum no positive replies.

Hope this helps.

Some cruise lines put an automatic gratuity on your bill every day, thats approx $12 per person per day, per cabin, I have this removed at the pursers desk and tip as I want, the reason for this is that in all the bars on board they add a service charge AND has a space for you to add another gratuity.

Hope this helps
