Castlebar

I love both but it does depend on the beach. I generally spend more time at the pool.

Are those the only options?

I genuinely can't think of a worse way to spend a holiday than sitting at a beach or a pool.

Maybe river or lake?

Presumably options for people who like holidays with the option to swim and maybe sunbathe. Some people even combine that with other activities

Not talking about spending the day topping up the sunburn but for relaxing or a dip i mean.

I love both.Just being in the water is so refreshing, and listening to waves crash onshore just soothes and relaxes me. So I think I'd choose the beach over a pool. Each are fabulous in their own way.

Love this! Not a fan of sand, but the beach soundscape is so relaxing and enjoyable

We wouldn't spend a day at either but a dip is nice at the end of the day. But in a warm calm sea is preferable.

I hate sitting at the beach, love walking at the waters edge but prefer to haunt the pool with the bar close by

Love walking on beaches eating ice cream with good company

Swimming in deep sea water by jumping off a boat

But sitting in a pool or hot tub

Westmeath The West.

I always look for somewhere with loads of big water slides. Then I pretend it's for the kids and I should probably accompany them, you can never be too safe!

Love a dip in the ocean, but sand can be a pain!

Beach all day, you have the beach for swims and walks, sand dunes too depending on the geography of the area. Pool you're just surrounded by concrete, although the allure of the nearby bar sounds fun, but the beach with a bag of cans is unstoppable.

I like both but also like being able to get nude and swim always a better chance of meeting someone on the beach into the same activities

Pool for me. Not a fan of the 3rd degree burns on my feet from the sand that gets absolutely EVERYWHERE. Gimme a cocktail and I'd happily lie there all day like a pig on a spit just rotating 😆
