Has anyone ever done a small group trip to the Aran Islands? What was your experience like — would you recommend it? If you haven’t been, is it somewhere you’d want to go? Any tips or suggestions are welcome!

Hi 👋.

I've been there a few times. Birthday's and stags, the usual. I've only been to Inis Oirr. But it's class. I think there's 3 pubs. The main pub is a pub / restaurant / disco / place to stay....all in one. The crashed ship 🚢 from the start of Fr. Ted is on inis oirr. Hour by boat from Doolin is not advisable with 10 Heineken on board...excuse the pun. Another time we went out on a stag from Galway, we flew...we're literally flying for 20 seconds 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂. Insert funny sex jokes here...

The vibe on the Aran islands is incredible. The locals working in the bars / activities all speak fluent Irish to each other. Makes my Irish look like dog 🐕 shit tbh. Cozy pubs..traditional music..always a good few tourists about. Just real good vibes there.

Really wish I wasn't barred 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Joke 😉.

a village near you.

Inishmor is fairly big, loads of tourists and very busy. I don't like it anymore for those reasons. Inishmaan is smallish, small population ,limited accomodation, and recently reduced sailings. Inisoir is the smallest. 3 pubs, 2 hotels, a great hostel, and you could walk the whole island in a day. Some nice cafes. Good beach. Irish spoken everywhere. Best to go from Doolin, only 20 minutes. If you go as a group of swingers( I wonder what's the Irish for swingers ), the whole island will know about you before you get off the boat!!

We'd love to visit Inis Oirr and the shipwreck sometime, all the better if it was with a bunch of fabbers

I once went to one of the Arran islands for business purposes about 20 years ago-very beautiful. Innis Boffin is also lovely

Went on a stag. Wasn't flat out drinking. Saw the sights. Dún Aonghasa is mind bending. The islands are beautiful. Was such good craic we came home without one lad

Based in Kerry, work in Cork.

I went as a pair and enjoyed it. I'm sure it would be good as a group too, depending on the availability of accommodation.
