Just curious. What do you reckon is the % of women using Botox by age 50?
I'm au-naturel but it seems like hardly any ladies my age have a wrinkle on their brow now. |

I'd say if you asked the question of women in their mid to late 30's there would probably be a higher percentage.
It seems like a lot of women are getting it done much younger now. |

like you Rubs I too am au-naturel. I was tempted to try it and changed my mind. I invested in good face creams instead and got myself into a good skin care routine.
As to what the percentage of people using botox lip fillers etc, I would say its quite high.

Im also au natural and have never had botox,even though I had thought about it for some lines on my face. I have been using clarins products for quite a while but am thinking of changing as it expensive and not as effective anymore I have found. |

God love the youngs ones who have essentially f+cked up their faces at 25. Can't wait to see what they look like at 50. You can't win the battle with time and in trying you need to pay for it, not use a kid with a needle. Look at the money in Hollywood and they can't get it right, all the once beautiful actors (male and female) have something slightly off about their faces. I'd rather look like 'old' me than f+ucked up me. |

Maybe it's TV etc that's making me think I'm in the minority now with not doing it.
I was just curious if it was more normal to have it done than not.
I couldn't afford it anyway even if I did want it. |

I've not thought of doing that at all. Injecting stuff into you seems like a risky business unless its specifically for health reasons, when you don't know how your body will react. I'm fine with having needles put into me if it's to take blood out but I hate having anything put in 😬 |

If a young lady in her 20s is regularly using botox, I would imagine her skin will be in a very state by her 40s. |

People are using Botox in their 20s and 30s to prevent wrinkles forming. It freezes the muscles so that you’re unable to form frown lines etc which means that wrinkles can’t set in.
If it’s done well, you’ll have no idea that a person has Botox. It’s no longer the fully frozen foreheads of the 2000s.
What ye are seeing as weird looking faces is filler and face lifts, not Botox. Filler goes wrong so easily as it can shift and end up lumpy and looking weird. Face lifts are better than they used to be but still result in very taut looking skin.
Between good skin genes and the fact that a face plumped out by fat tends to show less wrinkles, I’ve never been tempted to get anything. Nor have any of my closest friends tbf. I think we’re in a minority of women in their 30s/40s though.

It’s the girls in their early 20’s getting it as it’s fashionable that I find strange. Each to their own to do with their bodies as they want but surely they don’t need it |

I use botox. Mine is simple and natural
Im in a people facing role in vanilla work and I shoot content so need to keep personal maintenance up as a result. Never had any comments about it and couldn't give a toss about people's opinions either. End of day its the person who gets its choice |

It's definitely more accessible and natural than it was a few years ago. I've been getting it once every 6 months for the past 2 years and view it like every other beauty treatment I get, nails, eyebrows, waxing etc.
Im all for doing whatever makes you feel good |

Yeah it can look very natural on the brow and eye area for sure. The only way I know who's using it is by comparing my own features to theirs lol 🤣
I generally couldn't give a shite what other people think, that's a joy of getting older, but don't want to be on my owney-o either 😋!

I remember my dentist telling me in more recent times that the majority of Botox in Europe if not the world is made in the west of Ireland. Not sure if that's still the case or if he was spinning me a yarn. |

I'm nearly sure if you train as a Dentist you have all the relevant qualifications required for setting up a practice needles to say all the recent graduates go straight to Botox and cash in. |

The wrinkles or crinkles around a woman's eyes and cheeks that are called laughter lines or something,I get comfortable chatting with someone that has these and it puts me at ease knowing I can read an expression. But that's my point of view, I also wish I wasn't getting visibly older but you know what, it's just like Thanos said, inevitable.
I think I'll Botox my ballsack when they start hitting my knees though. |

I don't think it's anywhere near that figure because I don't know anyone who has used Botox so if it really was 60% the chances are I would know someone who did.
I can think of 2 people who considered it but changed their mind and maybe another couple who have had lip fillers and that's only because it was really obvious. |

I remember Gordon Ramsey famously tried it and got unmerciful criticism, which I thought was unfair but then he's pretty merciless himself at times. |
