This site is amazing me at the moment, with the amount of people posting not meeting right now ,am I wrong or is this site not all about meeting new people,sex or no sex. Also mostly MF wanting to meet F and no Ms? |

Everyone is entitled to use the site anyway they want to and as long as there not creating discord why would you care how anyone else would use the site. You probably use the site very differently than for instance we do and we don't have any problems with that at all |

I haven't been meeting on this profile for 5 years for personal reasons and I don't really care who has an issue with that.
I'm one half of a fab couples profile and for similar personal reasons we aren't meeting through that either.
Anyone getting their knickers in a twist over how others use the site says more about them then anything else.
The site is anything people want it to be. It's only a matter of time before someone pops in to say that single people shouldn't be here either. |

It kind of looks like that to me at the moment that single males should not be on here, also alot more people stating that they are not meeting, maybe I am wrong but what is that all about.I know it is all not about jumping into bed at the drop of the moment but surely this is all about introductions and meeting new friends. |

Single males have as much right to be here as anyone else.
Many people have been here for years and are only using the site to keep up to date on socials or see it as a good way of expressing their exhibionist side target than just a way of meeting people.
The joy of fab is that there is no one size fits all. It would be pretty boring if everyone was doing the same thing. |

I’m even more confused by this statement!! Where does it state the site is for couples only? Swingers can be single men or women, couples or groups, there’s no one trait to “swingers”.
If you look at the search icon, it gives plenty of options there, if the site was just for couples, that’s all you’d be able to search for surely??? |

Op it looks like you fall into the not meeting category also looking at your verifications.
Its up to every profile to use the site as they see fit.
We use it for socials and forums mainly atm.
But we also like to play together in others company so it works for us. |

Op you need to understand the history of swinging for one.

This happens every September. It's back to school chaos in most family households, so it's hard to plan meets with similar couples. I never put up a " not meeting now" status, I just hide my profile when I'm not available. |

People really don’t get the lifestyle every fella thinks that it’s a fuck and go site and that’s not what it’s about ! It’s not all
About sex but fellas just want to build up numbers and no meet socially first and I think that’s what’s wrong read up on the lifestyle first |

Very well may be people trying to make it clear they're not wanting to meet new people as they're happy with the the friends or occasional play partners they already have and are still here for their own purposes such as having a bit of banter on the forums, lurking and perving or even seeing what events are coming up.
Could also be in a situation where real life has gotten complicated and made it tough to organise things so this place becomes a nice distraction.
While many guys may see this place as simply somewhere to go when horny and wanting to find someone new for sex or whatever, it's far from it and seeing it as that leads to you missing out on so much. |

Sure a bit of self awareness never hurt anyone.
Actually introduced a friend to fab last night (she knew about it and tried before but decided to try again) and was hilarious being in the car just chilling out laughing at message after message coming in. Too bad the actually genuine ones seemed to be in the minority.
Just as a new profile, she'd gotten more messages in less than 12 hours than I've had in an entire year by quite a lot, and it was clear so many of those messages were by guys that wanted something happening near instantly, without much interest in getting to know each other.
Definitely need to try and get through to them that this isn't a "straight" Grindr. |

Well said. Personally, I interpret 'Not Meeting at the moment" as simply stating a position at a particular point in time.
There are as many reasons for using this site as there are people on it (well almost, but you know what I mean!).
If I state that I'm 'Not Meeting' but don't hide my profile, It simply means I'm not actively seeking to meet people in person right now (1 way to use this site) but I'm very much open to chatting (another use), having banter on forums (yet another use) and making new connections (do I need to labour the point?!).
I personally don't view 'Not Meeting' as a deterrent, rather a way of saying "approach with curiosity, not intent".
I wouldn't expect everyone to share my pov, but that's my tuppence worth...  |
