Depends on the quality of the sausages,

Top tier gourmet sausages = red onion relish.

Average run of the mill sausages = Ballymaloe relish.

That’s very broad, is it a specific relish?

"Just had an extremely delicious sausage and bacon bap with relish 🤤

It was in a hotel so I’m guessing it was ballymaloe or similar. A tomato relish anyway.

Cork, Kerry, Waterford and surrounds

Very pernicky aul bollix here...

If it's sausage only in the Bab, then there must be butter (real butter, soft but not melted) with Red sauce.

But, if there's an egg as well, then it's butter and HP brown.

No butter, no chance...

(But we all know there’s nothing quite like mine )

That’s how imagine mayo on a sausage bap would taste, but sorry if I put you off your lunch

(Not sorry, that was intended lol)

Cork

Everyone to their own. She doesn't like brown sauce on anything.

For me... Red is for burgers, chips or hotdogs and the likes.

Anything else, including a sausage sambo it's brown for me, preferably Chef or Kandee.

But hear me out on this and don't knock it until you try it. If you have a soft yolk fried egg, mix the yoke with a bit of brown and red sauce. I'm tellin' ya folks, it's top tier!

Reply privately, Reply in forum +quote or View forums list

By (user no longer on site) 34 weeks ago

Neither for me. Why ruin a perfectly good sausage bap with red/brown sauce? It'll be just dandy as it is.

I wouldn't hold it again you though
