As nothing seems to be happening down here the last few years regarding socials (I know the SSE Social has been a thing), would there be much interest in a small midweek gathering from time to time? I work weekends so that's why I'm suggesting midweek. Probably not ideal for most.
Nothing hectic, just a few going for coffee or whatever, or maybe a pint or two down the line if people get on well.
I've been thinking about it for a while now and as the old saying goes, if you want something done you have to do it yourself  |

Best of luck with it
I've organised a few socials coffee's and drinks in kildare
Pick a venue and date and post it here without naming the venue so people have more of an idea and might let you know if they are available or not |

Thanks for the advice.
For now I'm just trying to gauge if there's any potential interest. Even a get together with locals who don't get many opportunities to get to socials around the country.

I get the want to gauge interest but you’ll never get there unless you decide on a date.
Might be loads of interest theoretically and then none of them available.
Choose a date that suits you about 3-4 weeks away, advertise it and start your list. |

Just an idea for now but definitely taking on what you and Bog have said.
