It actually sounded like a cult until I looked it up. Fair play to anyone who does it. |

"I have a hyrox sim event end of March in the principality stadium Cardiff. Doing doubles again.
Then another sim later in the year mixed doubles so need to start going heavy"
Great stuff. Secured my place for Cardiff (doing doubles again) Thursday 30th April with hotel booked in town. Be great to do an after party with like minded Hyrox swingers, What do you think? |

Insanity. Wasn't that a mad thing a few years back? Maybe they've not died a death, just not as popular. Until the next craze. |

"Realistically it’s just really well marketed circuit training with 1km runs added in between stations. "
And a marathon is a well marketed long run...
And an ironman is an over priced and heavily marketed multi sport day out!
You could use that event for anything!
It's the event, the spectacle, the race environment, pushing everyone to try and achieve their best time.
There is the fun of competing even without the intention of placing.
You can go out and run 10k anytime, but an organised 10k race feels different.
Each to their own, but if you just wanna do your own circuits in the gym, that's up to you! |

Its just a sim event as was my last one. The last one in November was a sim in a caerphilly gym. Exact same layout stations and distance but the 1km run was around a block of houses twice and the road was an uphill so was HARD! But our time then including the hill was 1:32 so 1:20 gonna be easy |

Stop trying to be provocative , just got back from one trip n France , my 5 th one , instead of talking you should try one , a real one not a gym class one , if you think is easy go for it and win some big money ,,, but of course it’s easier to do nothing and mouth off |

For all you culchie fans I'm running a very exclusive Bogrox this summer event places are limited this is a great opportunity to participate in a elite event ... You'll have to foot 100 yards of turf then throw dry ones into manure bags into moving trailer going 5km getting abused by myself for not being hardy enough for the bog . Refreshments of tea and hang sandwiches will be provided |

That’s why not 5
Mins behind the fastest single female elite pro racer ever n the world , was this time for full hyrox official event . As it seems a very very good time and would quite often put you on the night in top 3 |

If you read, it was a sim..
Sim times vary but indicate ball park.
Rox zone times tend to be longer at Hyrox events. Because there are so many lanes for many stations there is longer to run between them.
It is still an impressive time SIM or not |

Sims really have no cross over to real thing , world records for male elite pro are around 50 to 52 mins these guys earn hundreds of thousands , the sims really don’t match , as for Rox zones it adds about 5 mins at most on to total time even less if you run in and out not stopping for water . If you do a real hyrox for the first time and get less then 1:20 you are doing amazingly well , I know hyrox athletes and cross fit athletes that compete at international levels and get invited to race
Events , they would be push real hard to get between 57. Mins to 1:05 at a real event , the sims really classes are not the same and even lmore crazy are people who do a “ hyrox “ gym class spin training and think they are doing one ,,, just go do a real one and enjoy it and feel what it’s like , it’s a fantastic sport , but way to many people who don’t do them talking like they have for some reason ?? |

Im super chuffed with my time!!
The first sim i did in 1hr 32 included a hill run so was obviously chuffed with that too
Am hoping my male training partner wants to do the real thing next year though . Its his first time training for one so we have the vaerphilly sim again in the summer to see how we do
The full send sim in Cardiff was great thats where I got my 1hour 3
Maybe im just a big strong girl haha |

Sorry. Missed the reply.
They are owned by same company now, and Spartan just feels more raw and basic.
Don't like the idea of electric shocks either.
You get the classic spear throw and fire jump with a Spartan! |

Spartan do the following
Sprint ~ 5k 20 obstacles
Super ~ 10k 25 obstacles
Beast ~ 21k 30 obstacles
Ultra ~ 50k 60 obstacles
I've done all the distances, and even done the first three in one weekend (Trifecta)
You get a wedge with each race medal and they fit together to make a large trifecta medal!
The Ultra "Medal" is a belt buckle! Ultimate bragging rights.
I tell you 50k and 60 obstacles is a long shift! |
