Halloween or Christmas
Jump to: Newest in thread
Neither really.
I despise Christmas and everything to do with it slightly less than I used to but still wouldn't miss it if it was removed from the calendar.
Halloween just passes me by and always did even as a child because I've never dressed up or been to a fancy dress party. |

Both!
I just love that time of the year. From the moment clocks finally go back to winter time bringing in that early darkness, all the way to after the new year (then work restarts with a vengeance so fuck that).
I love the darkness, the cold, the wet outside while enjoying hot spiced cider or mulled wine by the fireplace. Or going out on a cold dry evening and enjoy the happiness on display on people's face as their holidays start and bask in the beautifully lit houses and city streets.
Not a Christian so don't technically care for Christmas as revisionised by the Church, but as a seasonal festival, it is lovely and pairs so well with Halloween to define my favourite slice of the year. ❤️ |

Of the 2 it would have to be Xmas and this year is going to be a bit sad as it's the last year the kids will get santa presents. Alough we are the ones who have always gotten the big expensive gift rather than santa |

Christmas. Every time.
Hallowe'en for me is my dog being petrified of noise for 3-4 weeks straight leading up to it.
Christmas for me is heading to family, proper time off work, eating and drinking, sport, meeting mates you've not seen in a while. Right the way through 'til new year. |

Christmas, the next few months are usually manic in work so the two week break is always welcome at the end of it. And it’s a great time to catch up with friends |

"Halloween drives me nuts so I guess I'll say the C one is the lesser of two evil spirits of the season.
Roll on spring!
Going by your profile pic, it really does drive your nuts "
.....
More pumped up pumpkin than nut, but it's not how big your lantern is it's how bright it shines.

I’ll pick Halloween. Xmas day last year was the first Xmas I was alone. Kids called but had to go back to their mum. While Xmas last year was very lonely I’ve changed my mindset that this Xmas day coming is me time and a well deserved rest time with fire going from early morning. Savoury broad with wine and a steak dinner. |
