Hidden Verifications

Does anyone else get put off by hidden. Verifications?
They are a red flag to me because sometimes I think they are fake users with multiple profiles that they used to make all the verifications.
I have found this situation on other profile where the verifications are just circular. |

Wouldn't say we personally get put off by hidden veris as we do have some we prefer not to show if they go into alot of details about what we got upto and some mention our real names which is up to us when we disclose what they are. Also if you have been verified by someone who has since left the site there veri is still counted but even if you wanted to you can't display those as there's no option to do so. Hope our 2 cents helps |

There are some who seem to be too good to be true and personally we would avoid any we think are suspect |

We have a veri from a guy we met at a larger social who, later in the night got d*unk and handsy with others and got a ban from the social. Unfortunately we didn't know this at the time and even verified him in return. Obviously I don't want to show his verification and I'd prefer ours wasn't on his profile but I have no control over that now.
So yeah lots of reasons. |

If you're chatting with someone who has them hidden ask them to display for you to read and then they can hide them again, if they won't then you've given every chance and move on. Might be best approach. |

Mine are hidden. All 80 fake ones 
I display new ones for a week (ish) then they're hidden. My summary is visible however. It's how I prefer to run my profile, and I'm not bothered if it puts some people off. We all have agency over who we interact with and why. |

That is interesting because we also had a similar experience where we verified at the time and after we changed our minds and we have no control over that verification.
I think once blocked it won't show, but all the same I wish we could take it back!
So yes....this is an exception for sure |

That is true. We were on this site about 13 years ago and it just seems like now there are a lot more fake profiles. It just makes it less fun ya know?! |

I could be talking out my arse but I wonder if its just people in general back in the day were the early pioneers and so more genuine

That is totally fair, but I think people with lots of verifications are pretty much a sure thing. Because who can keep track of so many fake profiles....unless you are the GAA catfish or something  |

Half of my verifications have left the site and some have asked me not to display their verification as they don't want people to know that we met.
I haven't had a new verification in about 3 years so based on that I've been told here that I must be fake or that I shouldn't be here if I'm not meeting.
In saying that there are threads every single day complaining about the place being full of fakes and time wasters.
I haven't spoken to one in 10 years here so I must be doing something right.

I think you're getting unnecessarily stuck into an 'analysis paralysis' situation. Why not instead focus on those with whom you are compatible, are displaying adequate verifications and offer perceived green flags?
In all my years here I have never personally encountered a fake profile or interacted with one, but I've come across many a thread proclaiming such things. |

I had a issue with girl I met and she became a stalker and she got in contact with anyone I was verified by through jealousy, so why I hid mine . Have since got a new profile but I'm always cautious |

Like anything to do with this site, it is down to personal choice. If someone chooses to hide them so be it! Apart from people just wanting to have a nose as to who a person has been with, just ask to see if you really need to. I totally understand when some people say they might not want to meet someone who has associated with another particular person. So each to their own. While I've been here years (longer than I care to remember) some of the women who verified me have left, so those verifications while genuine don't show and could look like they are hidden. |

Yes I do laugh at veris as alot of them are full of crap and that is not my verdict. But been told by ladies these that have put on them, Best sex ever and told me it wasn't and can't wait to meet again when have no intentions. So don't always go by verifications |

Someone once said on here that anyone who didn't display play verifications were just time wasters and should feck off and find a penpal site.
For some reason people get very angry over verifications or how people manage them if it doesn't suit their rules. |

I can't display mine as the people are no longer on the site so their verifications are gone too. Although the summary is still available.
I took a very long break from here and only back about 8 months or so. |

I generally say in groups for parties iv been at that i only verify people I or we"ve played with & not the ones we've just chatted to, unless someone is new & wants a verification. So we only generally display play verifications. People have got offended by us not displaying some , but u have to do u on here.
As someone else said, some people use someone else's verification list as a hit list, or avoid list.lol
Some use it to make others jealous 🤣
I also do not feel the need to verify everytime I play with the same person.. People actually use verifications to cock block others.
When reading verifications I am usually reading between the lines.. 5 socials & no play = neither hot or charismatic..
Humour in a verification = yes u have personality.

Veri's to me are only to prove a person exists , meeting them is the aim anyway , it's an individual thing on how people look at veri's, some put a lot of emphasis on them , others don't, if you're interested say you'll meet & if they keep coming up with a load of excuses...Well then..time to move on . |

Here's how I see it.
I'm neither photo verified nor do I have my verifications displayed. For some, that will raise a red flag or two. And that's ok. I accept that. If approached by someone similar to myself I'd take other things into consideration. Sometimes there are subtleties and nuance, and, as such, I don't necessarily take the data itself at face value.
But I've been kicking about here for close on 8 years, I contribute regularly on the forums, I go to socials North and South, and plenty of people know me from day dot, so I don't worry if there are some who might see the things my profile lacks as an indication that I'm not a real person. If someone wanted to see a couple of my verifications for peace of mind, I'd unhide some (depending on how they asked of course ). I've no issue with that.
As I said before, we all have agency over who we interact with. You make those choices and run with it. You might adjust that as time goes on, you might not. But just because someone doesn't run their profile the way you might want them to, it doesn't necessarily mean they're fake. It just means they're not what you're looking for. |
