Trying to accommodate a new forward line and Salah, unlucky with injuries at RB, Konates form free diving off a cliff and sloth not trusting Gomez/lack of decent cover.
Lost a main playmaker in TAA
The Jota effect.
Transition away from Klopps team/playstyle.
Last year was an over achievement considering the drop off you'd have realistically expected after the manager change, its happening now just delayed a year and exaggerated by all the above factors |

Yes, last year was a huge over achievemnt for the team, probably even more so than Fergies last season! That needs to be realised.
New players not clicking and experienced players like VVD and Konate are at sea!
That goalkeeper is surely not an upgrade on Kelleher? That sale could be a big mistake in the long run! |

Don’t agree it was an over achievement. But it was an achievement with klopps team.
Our first line pressing game is gone (Diaz, Nunez). Jota influence from the bench is gone unfortunately. Kerkez is pathetic! We replaced a baller (Trent) with a road runner ( frimpong who is injured.)
Ekitike has been a surprise signing and a good one at that. More suited than Isak to our style…
Although I love Isak… why buy him when you don’t cross the ball? Jacob Murphy made it easy for Isak crossing from wing.
Now slot….
He has lost control… against Forest he played arguably our best midfielder this season at right back…. Gomez on the bench and also a promising Calvin Ramsey.
Why does he not trust youth? He don’t even fill the bench last night… I know there’s senior injuries but you should be filling the bench with youth at that stage surely!
I was at the Forest game… crowd not happy at all…
Loss at West Ham could seal his fate!

Can't agree, tbh. The 22/23 and 23/24 were two very poor seasons under Klopp before he left.
They failed terrible in Europe in '23, failed to qualify for '24...didn't contest the EPL in either season and went out of all cups early. The players looked a beaten docket in the last two seasons under Klopp.
Slots first season gave them a lift, but it was a huge over achievement. |

Slot has been found out.
I'm a Liverpool fan, and it was great to win the League last season, but the reality is that the League just fell into our lap.
Slot clearly hasn't a clue what to do and it looks like the players either don't know what they're supposed to do, or that they just don't want to play for him.
Regarding the Jota tragedy, half the first team never played with him so that's not an excuse for being as poor as they are.
Players not in form isn't an excuse, because it's the whole team that are shite.
It's all down to the manager. I don't want to shit on him, but there's no way he's turning it around now, so unfortunately, it's time to say thanks and good luck. |
