Commit to a goal. Write it down somewhere very visible. Set a timeline (eg in x3 days, x10 days, x4 weeks, x8 weeks), make it achievable and challenging.

Dont weight yourself. Unless it's on an analysis scales.

Challenge your body, cardio and heavy weights. Rest sufficiently, to allow it to adapt and recover for the next session. Fuel well, with mostly healthy foods. Treats are fine, occasional, in moderation.

Consistency is key.

Optional addon: Find some podcasts or YT content you like for your activities, learn more as you go.

Key: Find activities & environments you enjoy being in (eg too cold outside to cycle, use an indoor spin bike, cross trainer, or rowing machine). Or try a random indoor activity, a climbing wall, indoor tennis. Keep with it, update here in x6 weeks how you're getting on

Lose weight.

I'm doing chemo weekly long term so it wont be easy but I want to do it. The scales have been increasing in recent months. On steroids plus everything else but no excuses 💪

Cut out all refined sugar. Tougher than giving up smoking but I did it for 3 months and never felt better. Will be starting again tomorrow then cut down on the carbs. Lost 20kg and plan to lose another 10 maybe 🤞

DUBLIN

More overseas travel. Self employed so only going to work 3 days each week, no more work outside Dublin, putting all my fees up, lose 7 Kg, learn to cook a broader range of meals, keep my home tidier.
