When you are in a group of vanilla friends and they start talking shite about.

"Did you here about such in such they are into the swinging ".

Or i heard such in such is a lesbian now".

Sure they would be split up a long time ago only i heard they are in an open marriage .

How do you sit there and keep a straight face or stop yourself from screaming it's ok to like girls too, or sharing is caring.

We usually nod and agree while internally laughing my balls off thinking if you you knew 😘

Over the years ive learned not to say too much about anything. Id never let on I know stuff about anyone who.might be the subject for discussion nor would I mention the discussion to anyone else after that. Discretion is important.

Naas which is South West of Dublin

Step one, say “lucky fuckers” and then immediately laugh…..

Step two, gauge reactions……

Step three, respond accordingly…..

a village near you.

I keep my mouth shut, listen to the conversation, read the room, and think....

I'm so different to these people.

Keep my thoughts to myself.

I know all my friends & sisters views on stuff. And I know how they would react.

I dont need their opinions.

Sit back and see where the conversation goes and probably go to myself... I wonder what secrets you are hiding

And then afterwards reassess the friendships based on what I've heard and know.

My usual response once everyone is happy and no one is hurt...each to their own.

I tend to keep my cards close to my chest but anyone close to me knows I'm very open minded and have been in open relationships.

My response to this is the same as it is to other things that aren't my business or isn't illegal. Not harming anyone and hasn't anything to do with me directly so that's their business, let them on.

down on you

I think I usually fake shock, put some gasoline into the fire and let they express all they bigotry, that to me will sound as jealousy, and will be laughing inside.

We always say “fair play to them” in a neutral tone.

(Then we look at each other and wink 😉 )

Not much you can do when people are trying to gossip about peoples business. I dont feed into it, fish bowl mentality looking for excitement and judgement.....the same type of people will gossip about the colour of someone's car and how many times they cut the grass

I avoid those people as people like to talk, some more than others. Some people trive on gossip vanilla or not.

I just avoid people like that as I just find them draining and toxic.

Like others have said. My response to this type of stuff is usually good luck to them and each to their own.

I say that's a great idea. More people should do it. They laugh....

I get on with my day 😌

I outed myself as a swinger at my place of work once.

They were all talking about swinger parties and a guy was disgusted that they just threw their keys in a bowl and fucked who ever they got.

"Not at any I've been to" should have been said in my inside voice but nooooo.....

I tried to continue on with my work like nothing had happened but unfortunately they had a million questions

somewhere

The only thing I pull people up on

( usually family sad to say ) is usually when they use words to describe other people that I find offensive....so queer, faggot , shirt lifter is usually used for a gay man when we're chatting in the pub.

Funny enough they think lesbians are great and dont have any derogatory words for them

I dont have friends that have used these words and swinging hasn't been mentioned at all
