Have other chat Apps ruined chat in the forums

Long time Fabber here.
I used to spend a silly amount of time every day on the forums chatting, and having the craic. I've recently started to partake again, but its gone kinda dead. Loads of posts about events which is brilliant 👏 but banter posts seem to be a thing of the past.
Do I need to spread the wings?

This....I know most people to either see and say hello to or they're actually friends that I go on holiday with so I put more effort into these groups.
I still post in the forums but dont start many threads and I used to start one every morning |

I think large TG groups have removed people from the forums for sure.
I'm part of one and there can be 100's of new messages in the space of a few hrs.
I dont partake all that much tbh.
The Lounge is where I post mostly. The Irish thread is full of events most of the time. Not much craic unfortunately 😏

It's interesting because I used to 'visit' the Welsh Forums but then suddenly it became a compendium of events, clubs and socials and not much else. Before that it resembled the Lounge, albeit a smaller version of it, but still populated with interesting topics. |
