Normally it'd be a matter of how much Ireland will win by but going on form shown in the opening game it's a tough one to call but Ireland should still pull out a win.

I'm hoping Ireland win by a big enough point gap, its at home which should help a little

"Predictions? "

Ireland by 11. It’ll be a tight defensive game by both sides and Ireland will be out to prove a point. Forwards can’t be as bad as last week so plenty of turn overs I’d say🏉🇮🇪

Ireland to win comfortably, 12 points in it

Ireland aren’t as bad as everyone’s letting on and Italy aren’t as good (Scotland were horrific last week)

Agree I was shocked to see Italy beat Scotland after I've been raving about how good Scotland have been playing the last couple of years. But at the same time was nice to see Italy win something

Ireland by 8 hopefully. Although Im going so probably end up with an Italy win.

We could easily find ourselves with lads playing out of position based on that team selection though which is a bit of a worry

Hopefully you are right, but I think we will grind out a win. This kicking game that they are playing this year doesn’t work

Italy will be in it for 40 or 50 minutes I think. Ireland bench will kick us on for a win. Hard to know how good Italy are after that game v Scotland last week . Should be an enjoyable weekend of rugby including under 20s games

Well as far as the match is concerned I’m going for a competitive game with Ireland winning by 7 or less

The Italian team have been getting better and better over the years. They nearly won in Rome last year-I was there. I think they could beat Ireland tomorrow!

It today’s match is as entertaining as the U20’s last night it should be a cracker, Ireland for the win but the Italians won’t make it easy.

U20's was a very entertaining game. Unfortunately today's result may not be in our favour, but we live in hope more than expectation.

Ireland will win today but will.be a tough game. Its good to see Italy finally being competitive in the 6 nations. Wouldn't be surprised to see Wales with the wooden spoon.

"Credit to Italy for their competitiveness. We are definitely a team in transition"

Without a doubt. There was no cohesion in the team until a few more experienced players came on.

Almost perfect predictions there

Thank god for the bench!

I was there and have to say i didn't think the atmosphere in Aviva was up to much either I thought, compared with previous visits.

Few Irish lads gone past it and Prendergast is just not good enough. Still young but at the moment nowhere near it. Ireland got some mincing in scrum. Serious Italian pressure

Prendergast is a walking disaster between stupid passes, shite k8cks during play and then missing a conversion basically straight in front of posts. He was on for twice as long as needed for Farrell to know he was off form.

Italy deserved to win that game, to be fair.

Certainly deserved to level with them in the closing 10mins.
