Don't really acknowledge winks at all.
I think its a waste of time. Just message them, and not some generic copy and paste message that is sent out to 50 people but a genuine one. |

I'll send one if I match what someone is looking for but am just outside their age range or some other requirement. Usually only get them from blank profiles who message hi or are you up for fun so don't bother replying. |

I used to but lots of women say they don’t look at them, so I don’t usually bother anymore, unless it’s a forum game.
I usually do reply if someone sends me a wink but more often than not, conversations with wink-senders go nowhere. |

Well most give out about being messaged, and it seems the same for a wink hahaha. So I don't know. I'll use wink the odd time to show interest in a profile and not to bother them with another message to the 600 they prob have already. Some I've met use them at events to remember your profile for verification which is handy too. |

We do send winks if were interested in someone single or couples especially if they have strange requests if sending a message that way we tend to only get replies from people who are down to earth |

I think I've probably sent half a dozen winks in all the five years I've been here. I find them pointless, superfluous and rarely check my winks, if at all.
It's just a perfunctory gesture that achieves next to nothing for some people. |

I do like to send out winks if a profile catches our attention , its a way to say hi without messaging , if we get a wink back , we would them message as we know they might then be interested

I do sometimes when fishing, but if its someone I think I might properly appeal to I'll spend time ona proper message and pray it doesnt get lost in the swarm. I always resond when i receive them. |

There used to be a wink etiquette where if someone winked back that was an invitation for the original winker to get in touch if filters allowed.
Over the years though I've noticed a lot of women are happy to wink but expect me to carry the conversation after that which doesn't really work for me so I don't bother with them anymore.
My fab bestie winked me initially so they aren't all bad  |

I've also experienced similar situations in the past: winks sent by women whose profiles clearly mandate something resembling "wishing to chat extensively before meeting!!" and yet they invest zero effort and energy. The irony. |

You’re right it is the little things that make a difference. I love receiving winks and I will always return them, it’s a small way to show some appreciation or a liking for a profile |
