Something that has tickled me in recent days.

Being a Brit living in Ireland and having the complete and utter bollix ripped out of me for the last couple of weeks due to England's abysmal performance in the 6 nations .

I am going to Dublin tomorrow for the Ireland Scotland match.

Just casually wondering if for the first time ever in History will Irish fans support England's attempt to beat the French thereby Ireland wins the 6 Nations .

Hard hat on lol

If we beat Scotland tomorrow, there will be an 80min window tomorrow night when everyone in Ireland will be cheering England.

Be feckin glad of it cos chances of seeing it again will be like your chance of finding gold at the end of a 🌈

If ye play that boring, shite style of rugby again tomorrow night though, I actually hope France score 100 against ye.

Best of luck though

Honestly I might want them to beat France 🇫🇷 but really do you actually think an Irish man or woman would cheer for England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🙄🙄..

It would be like a Rangers fan cheering for Celtic....it just can't and won't happen...

It's happened at least twice before in 2019 and 2023 when England faced the Springboks at RWC. Reddit was awash with Irish supporters cheering for England. Particularly in 2019.

Yes we will, through gritted teeth.

Especially if they throw caution to the wind and play free flowing, exciting rugby and beat France at their own game, like Scotland did.

That would be something to watch.

If they continue to play stodgy shite as they have been, hope they get thrashed royally and Borthwick is sacked and their RWC hopes are screwed.

If, and it's a big if based on last week's games, Ireland beat Scotland then most of the country will be quietly crossing their fingers that England will win. Under no circumstances will there be any cheering. Maybe a slight wimper if ye actually beat France. In the event of a Scottish win we'll be roaring for the French to stick the chariot where the sun don't shine.😜

In the event of Ireland beating Scotland ( which I believe they will) A boring game with England just nicking it would be an ideal result . Can’t see that happening but it’s been that kind of championship this year.

It would be nice if England did us a favour but going by our history, I can’t see that happening

Ok I'm really confused and my little world is swaying on its axis ...In the grand canal hotel after the match to relax and watch the other matches.

Have you ever heard over a hundred Irish supporters cheer on England , ok our aims were different but still ..
