Stop using it immediately’: Recall issued for remote-control ‘toy’ from Ann Summers
ComReg has warned users the product presents a risk of injury
Telecoms regulator ComReg has issued a Product Safety Information Notice alerting the public to the dangers of a remote-controlled sex toy sold by the Ann Summers chain.
The retailer had already notified consumers who bought its own-brand remote rotating dildo at its stores or online that the product presents a risk of injury.
But because the device in question can be operated by remote control, ComReg has now also issued a warning to consumers.
The dildo, a 6.5-inch-long reproduction of the penis, was sold by Ann Summers stores and through its website between September 2025 and March this year.
“ComReg has been notified that the recall is because of a safety issue identified with Ann Summers Remote Rotating Dildo,” according to the watchdog. “The product presents a risk of injuries as it is possible for parts to detach during use. If you have one of these products, please stop using it immediately.
