Hi. I’m looking for some quiet walking or hiking routes within about 80 miles of Dublin (or further). I’m not looking for group hikes, just peaceful, less crowded scenic routes ⛺🥾🔥 Any recommendations? Ideally somewhere quite remote and secluded. I’m really after some peace and quiet away from the crowds 🌲🏕️🐿️🌄🏔️ |

Ticknock is a nice track up and back to car park and you can have coffee there.
It’s quiet early morning and evenings there.
For further tracks have a look at this link.

If you drive over any of the Gaps there are loads of quiet trails and small inlets to park in, the main ones in Larragh packed but these ones are great, a couple of great ones near Rathdrum also. |

The Djouce mountain walk is a lovely walk/hike, you can park for free in JB Malone car park and you'll see the signs for it. lovely views of Lough Tay, it's about a 2.5 hour hike and nothing too technical🧗🏻♂️ |

You could walk the canal walks. Royal canal to Mullingar , and then the Rail trail to Athlone.
Glenmalure, ..or the Wicklow way, starting in Marley park.
Enjoy the walk. And if you need to have a massage afterwards get in touch. |

Try the HiiKER app, similar to AllTrails.
Both have direction to start point, distance and elevation details and a virtual walk preview feature.
They can be used when walking as a live guide/map to keep you on the correct route.
The Coillte website has a list of forest trails throughout Ireland.
Pick somewhere with a nice place nearby for a quite coffee and a relax after your walk.
Happy hiking.... 🚶🏽♀️ |

You could try the Vartry Reservoir in Wicklow. There is a carpark before you arrive in Roundwood. Best to go midweek. Walk the upper and lower lakes about 17k 4 to 5 hours get a coffee in Roundwood.
Or drive to Glendalough and walk to miners village over bridge across mountain overlooking upper lake. Mid week |
