RIP Missus (Passing of a legend)

As many of you already know by now, myself (Dirk) and the entire HC family have been rocked by the tragic passing of my beloved partner Irina (Missus). For 5 years Irina battled bravely with breast cancer, a brain tumour and recently was diagnosed with brain cancer.
Irina was a great ambassador for the whole swinging community for many years, even before starting Hungry Cat. Together we built a name and a brand and created a safe space for people to be who they truly want to be. Many of you will only know her strong resilient outward appearance but for those who really got to know her and earn her trust, you got to see the beautiful kind and warm inward beauty of the woman I refer to as my Queen. In her last few weeks, Irina gave me my orders, which were to continue growing "her baby" and keep serving a community that she so loved. And this is now a promise I make to everyone. She insisted that I book and plan our next event which I have now done. While I have breath in me, that is what I will be doing. Irina never took time off and was available 24/7 for anyone who needed her. Going forward i will carry her flame and try my very best with the help of the Hungry Cat admin team and supporters. This Friday 19th as we say a final goodbye to Irina I would ask all those who knew her to give a few seconds to reflect on a happy memory that you shared with her.

So sorry to hear this tragic news. Thoughts and prayers are with Dirk, family and friends. I never got to meet Missus in person but spoke a good few times in the Ireland room. She was a breath of fresh air, beautiful, funny and straight to the point. She always brought a smile and she’s the only person I know drank Guinness with a straw which always gave me a smile. RIP |

So many time did you both make me laugh at a social or have the craic especially at the first camping weekend in the glorious sunshine
She even turned up once at the end of a social that myself and _ipstick kisses organised just to collect some real Tayto that I brought up from Dublin
I met Toxic for the first time at one of your socials and I'm always grateful for giving me the chance to go to them as a single bloke
I was driving yesterday and a song by Radiohead came on the radio.
Creep....instantly transported back to your Karaoke social when Irina sang sung a unique powerful version of it
She was such a force of nature in real life and on fab especially with the game of sheep

Missus was a powerhouse of a woman. Beautiful, funny, sexy, smart and caring. She (and you Dirk) changed the landscape for us all here and built something beautiful and unique. She will be missed. Especially at socials with that big smile of hers and laugh. X |

Not many hosts could get me to travel 3rs for events but the HC one's id travel double, both warm, welcoming and super friendly to someone who attended on there own, from the intimate one's in the bar to the day events in the heart of Belfast to the Masquerade Ball, thinking of you all at this sad time but knowing Missus will always be there gives comfort....💔 |

To Our Beautiful Irina , from the very first time I met you back in 2018 at a social event , u came bouncing out of the toilet cubicle and started randomly talking to me about your flatmate and a pair of white boots to the nite you came and met us along with friends at the fitzwilliam and we stole numerous glasses to which I still have lol , the countless hugs at the door of every social event we attended , you have left a lasting imprint in our hearts , the social events won’t ever be the same without you but you have left one hell of a legacy , Hungry Cats will keep you with us , CHEERS to the only lady I have ever known that drinks Guinness through a straw . My partner and I shared our first kiss at one of your events, and here we are 2 and a half years later and very grateful for you both for running the fantastic nights that you do. Irina was always my first port of call when we turned up, she had a way to calm the jitters and make you feel like an old friend.
She will be really missed. I'm crying here just thinking of what it will be like without her.
I can't imagine what you are going through, you are very much in our thoughts. I hope you take comfort from all the support and words and stories that people will share.

A beautiful, kind, funny,witty and respectful lady. I remember the 1st time I met yous both at pinks social and I just knew I’d have to get to a _ungry cat social. I’ll always remember my first time out with yous when yous weren’t hosting. Belfast pride 2025. Missus handed me a sports cap bottle of what I thought was frozen water. 1 of the best days of my life. We're deeply saddened to hear this news. We attended our first HC socials last year and one of our abiding memories is of the welcome we received from Mrs on arrival. That beautiful smile and the warmth that radiated from her helped put us at ease and made us feel very welcome. She will be sorely missed. Our sincere sympathy and condolences to Dirk and all her family and friends. RIP, Irina. |

Dirk,I am so sorry to learn of this. I never met your beautiful partner but she was clearly a beautiful woman who met her diagnosis with courage, as she also did when the tabloids tried to out the two of you. Fab has lost a large part of its personality and spirit but obviously it is you and all who knew and loved her who have suffered the real loss. |

I was so sad to hear of beautiful Irina's passing during the week. I had only been looking through pics of our "vanilla" night out in Belfast where we terrorised the Fitzwilliam Hotel and stole all the glasses! She was a bright and beautiful soul who you couldn't but enjoy her company. I loved every moment I spent in her presence over the years. Thinking of you and all Irina's loved ones at this difficult time. Her star will shine brightly and her memory will live on.

The swinging community has suffered a great loss. From the first event that I attended Missus was helping me break through my shyness shell, as she could tell that I didnt know how to work through the event. She will be missed but most certainly never forgotten. Rest easy Missus. |

I am beyond shocked to hear about this news!! Truly heart broken, me and kate were so excited and happy to meet you and missus when you guys came down for Masquerade party back in October. You two have the best vibes. I was happy enough that she even had some of my jungle juice that night lol. Next thing I know she was buzzing the whole night. We had a really good conversation with you both. Last time we spoke , it was an event you were having in February. We couldn't make it because we had some pretty good news about a new family member. I just want to say i am really glad to have had a chance to meet her and about in her presence. Me and kate promise to come to your events and celebrate her life. See you all tomorrow, sitting in your house we still found it hard to believe. Even do we knew what was coming it dosn't sink in that this is real. You have a loyal following and great group of admin. The stories being told sat outside in the garden, your own memories all displayed out in photographs. Hold onto those.
You have been given a mission now, we are all behind you 100% to make it happen. You know our feelings and we will help out everywhere we can.
One truly special lady, leaving behind her leagacy that will live on in your logo. We shall wear it with pride. Lets send her off as she wanted. Our hearts are broken but not our spirits. All our love A&E |

So very many fond memories of Irina from the formation of Hungry Cat and the very early days. Along with Jaime such a massive influence in the lifestyle world in the North and also very well known and massively well regarded in the South.
Special memories in particular are :
When i was privileged as a guest to travel on a road trip to Dublin with Missus & Dirk for a fab social. The most brilliant and entertaining company the whole day and a lovely experience visiting a russian restaurant for dinner and being introduced to her culture and cuisine.
Another great time was when Missus (along with Dirk) attended one of our first Mavervick & Iceman social parties as guests of honour and Missus sang a brilliant song which lit up the complete room....priceless and special.
Irina RIP, a very loved and so missed Legend....it is a brilliant tribute that Jaime will be keeping the torch of Hungry Cat lit very brightly in her memory.

Oh Dirk, this is devastating news, 😔 such a beautiful sexy gorgeous woman, always so happy, delighted to hear your going to continue this legacy you both have created, not an easy task as we all know. I’m sure all the community are here for you in this awful devastating time. We will attend again in the near future as we really enjoyed out trip to Belfast to Hungry Cats

My heart truly goes out to you.
As ive met Misses at one of your events. And straight away her beauty both outside & inside captivated me. She will truly be sadly missed as she was such a warm friendly hearted woman ,that when you met her you felt like you knew her a lifetime!! Not many people have that, the warmth & charisma & genuine careing. So so lovely that she wants you to still keep going in her name 🥰 & believe me she will never be forgotten🙏 And ive only had the pleasure of meeting her once but she made a lasting impression on me as a Beautiful genuine caring woman.
