sounds like youve been punked ! thats unfortunate , but you will learn after a while to spot the signs that a meet has no intention of turning up , ie ... all talk and then silence on the day of the meet , reluctance to make contact on the day etc |

I would want to hear from them at least once on the day of the meet to confirm it was still happening, no way I would just arrange then not follow up to check it was still on, making a journey on the assumption they will be there. |

When meeting anyone at all, i text as im getting out of the shower and about to get ready to say:
"Leaving now". If they aint replied by the time im about to go out the door i just dont bother! |

it has often happened me that a minute before im stuck in a hotel underground carpark with feck all signal on my phone , im generally a good timekeeper , but occasionally some doddery old dear with all the time in the world has been in front of me for 10 mins or etc etc , I would be fairly peeved if a meet wouldnt hang on a couple of mins for me in honesty !  |

Always text before a meet and if i have to travel a few texts on the journey to build up a little excitement works wonders and if there's no reply i just slide on by

All very good advice but not always as straight forward . I've have many different versions of all this advice , some show and some don't . You just have to be grateful to the people who do show . Once you get know know a few genuine people , it's best to have repeat meets rather than continually looking for new ones . |

Have waited years to meet some people ...lol.
I always make contact with the person the morning before we meet just to make sure all is still ok for later on.
I have waited for up to an hour for someone as they text they where running late, but i have usually had a good line of communication with someone for a little while before we get to the face to face meeting and even then i only have a coffee meet with someone first.
You have to get a feel for the person and what they are looking for and can usually see who the genuine ones are and the ones that will mess you around in advance.

15/20 min but if the text to say I'm delayed I would hang on. It's all about being courteous. Would you leave your best mate waiting and not contact ?
If you can't meet at least let person know day before or ASAP |

Waiting around , wasting precious time is annoying People should leave extra time for their journey to a pre-planned meet , get directions before hand , phone fully charged , keep in touch on the day , builds up the sexual tension , let meet know they are on their way . Speak briefly on the phone to confirm details of the type of meet. Be courteous if there's any delays , traffic or parking problems a text is suffice to let meetee know you are not going to stand them up .
It's a pet hate of mine . Must be because of my job . |

Been there got the t shirt... Twice!! No shows, boils your blood. Just say you can't make it, just say you bottled it, just say you changed your mind..
Still as previously touched on, learn from it. I for one never ever ever do late night meets anymore.
