I could do without the zombie element tbh, feel they reduce it to the level of ludicrous schlock when they appear, otherwise it's a great study of human emotions and Machiavellian plots against a fantasy background. |

Great analysis! I suppose regarding the Walkers though, they need to remind the viewership every once in a while that it is of the fantasy genre, and literally anything could happen. The whole 'zombie' element about them though, was reeaaalllyy emphasised this episode though. |

The walkers are one thing, the zombie hordes another, they just make me roll my eyes. |

They're essentially the same though! :p Although the terror of one White Walker (which was made very apparent in Seasons 1-3/4) was fairly dampened when a whole horde of walkers was just as scary! |

"I'm a GoT newbie only on episode 3 of season 1!!! Took me so long to actually process it, this was my third attempt to watch the series "
I was like that at the begining aswell tbh, but once you get past the first few episodes and get the idea of the whole story you'll get hooked!! |

Totally different, the white walkers exude mystique and an aura of stone-cold evil, the zombies look like they stumbled in(literally) off an adjoining set. |

Like you I have a few friends who are just starting. I'm kinda envious. It really is worth sticking with. You'll be doing well to keep away from spoilers though. |

Am I wrong?
i bumped into one of my footy-team mates who hasn't played for a while....let's be kind and say he's put on a little wieght since we last met....
I saw him standing at the bar ( looking at least 7 months gone) and shouted across the pub....
"HOLD THE DOOR!!!"

"I'm distraught thinking about Summer "
found that more upsetting than Hodor's death, but all in all, what a great episode, even with all those Children of the Forest, Three Eyed Raven, etc meeting their end...
Looking at the preview for episode 6 I think we'll see the return of someone not in the show since S1!
Will Jorah now disappear from the show for the timebeing only to resurface in Danny's next major hour of need? |

Oh that's a good one. Bran could be a voice in his head. Food for thought. |

Had a debate tonight with another fan she thinks I'm mental as she's distraught over Hodor.. |
